How To Find Maya Cruz
When you ask Ari in The Clinic to search for Maya Cruz, he tells you their computer systems have been having issues. After checking the Patient Records, he reveals no patients named Maya Cruz, but two female patients may match Maya's description: Candace Doolin and Jane Nakamori.
Here are two options for tracking Maya Cruz:

Following the steps above, you can locate information on a patient named Rivera, Catalina P., in the VIP Section.

If you haven't unlocked the Security Skill, your only option is to interrogate the patients. Enter the ward rooms and speak with both Jane and Candace. Eventually, you will find out that neither of them is Maya Cruz.
Go Back To Ari Miller
After questioning Jane and Candace, report back to Ari. He will provide a lead on a patient named Catalina Rivera. She is a guest in the VIP wing, restricted to authorized Clinic personnel.
How To Get Inside The VIP Section
Talk to Dr. Cassidy to request access to the VIP Wing. Although he may initially deny your request, you have three options for entering the VIP section.

| Persuade him with Medicine skill | Recommended! Requirement: Unlock the "Medicine" skill - The simplest method and has a 100% success rate. |
| Persuade him in the usual way | Requirement: None - Requires more steps and may fail. |
| Steal the Keycard | Requirement: Digipick x1 - Easy and quick but costs one item and there is a risk of getting caught. |
(Option 1) Persuade Dr. Cassidy With The Medicine Skill
If you have unlocked the Medicine skill, you can use it to make obtaining the keycard from Dr. Cassidy easier. By pretending to be a medical professional, Dr. Cassidy will believe you and grant you access without additional steps.
(Option 2) Persuade Dr. Cassidy In The Usual Way
If you haven't unlocked the Medicine skill, try persuading Dr. Cassidy to give you the card. You'll need to score six bars in three turns. However, there's a chance of failure, so it's best to save the game before attempting it.
(Option 3) Steal The VIP Wing Keycard
In case you lack the Medicine skill and are tired of trying to persuade Dr. Cassidy for the keycard, you can try to steal it instead.
Dr. Cassidy's office is in the Staff Area and clearly labeled with his name on the wall. His office has a safe on the wall behind his desk. Unlock it with one Digipick and leave his office immediately after getting the keycard.
Search For Clues In The VIP Wing
After successfully accessing the VIP section, you will discover Catalina Rivera is no longer here. While avoiding the mines and turrets, you will find the "Urgent - Read Immediately" slate beside a bed that reveals Maya Cruz's hideout in the old asteroid mine at Sakharov.
Investigate the Abandoned Asteroid Mine
To locate Maya Cruz in the Abandoned Asteroid Mine, please follow the following procedures.

| 6 |  Remove the pins on four corners with any weapon. |
| 7 |  Defeat Robot Model A and go down the stairs on the right side. |
| 8 |  Take the elevator on the left side to the lower level. |
| 9 |  Follow the path and walk up a ramp. |
| 10 |  Enter the lab and unlock the Remote Security Door Computer with Digipick. |
| 11 |  Get through the unlocked door and go to the lower level through a giant crystal. |
| 12 |  Activate the switch on the right side to open the next door. |
| 13 |  Take the elevator to the lower level. |
| 14 |  Walk up the ramps while defeating enemies. |
| 15 |  Remove the Emergency Cuttable Wall on the top level. |
| 16 |  Defeat Maya Cruz and talk to her. |
