Distress Signal Comes From Nishina Research Station

Map	Location

The Distress Signal can be located in Nishina Research Station in the Freya System. Enter inside the station and speak with Ethan Hughes, the Chief of Security of the station. Just follow him to the storage to trigger an event where you will experience some kind of space anomaly that will transport you into the ruins.

The Ruins Seems Like A Foreshadowing Of Events

You will notice that the place will change and a few Cataxi Warrior appears. This event is only brief and will be triggered again once you head inside the Work Room with Ethan. Explore the area to find Rafael to complete the objective. You can also glimpse into the Alternate Universe within the narrative.

Speak To Rafael

You will meet Rafael Aguerro in the Ruins, who was apparently the one sending the distress signal. He will tell you about the distortion from an experiment accident in the High Energy Research Lab. This interaction will be brief since you'll soon be transported back to continue following Ethan in the pantry.

How To Find The Director's Office In The Ruins

In the other reality, Rafael mentions the location of The Director's Office which is on the second floor at the end of the hall. Use this information to easily get to it when you get transported again to the ruins.

Entangled Alternating Realities

As you progress the Entangled Quest, you will be shifting back and forth two alternate universe where the station is ruined in another reality.

Use The Furniture To Navigate Your Way

If you're struggling to navigate between the shifting realities within the ruins, you can rely on signs and furniture as landmarks to guide your way.

Persuade Ethan To Get Something To Fight The Cataxi On The Other Universe

Speak to Ethan to unlock the terminal and read the old logs to get info on the Cataxi creatures. You can also persuade Ethan to give you something to fight off the scorpion-like alien creatures. If you successfully persuaded Ethan, he will give you a rare Experiment A-7 Shotgun with 30% increased damage to fight of the Cataxi on the other side.

How To Get To The Lab

Learn how to get to the Fabricator Lab and the High Energy Research Lab.

	Procedure
1	Follow Maria to the Fabrication Lab.
2	You will be transported back again to The Ruins where the Fabrication Area cannot be accessed so you will need to go down and head back downstairs where you found Rafael to find another way.
3	Defeat the surrounding Cataxi then Speak to Rafael to get the Nishina Pantry Keycard to open the door to the Pantry.
4	You will be transported back to the alternate reality once you get inside the Pantry, use the other door to get outside towards the Main Hall.
5	Once outside the pantry you will get shifted back to The Ruins. You will need to get to the Emergency Room where Rafael is.
6	Get inside the Security Room next to the Emergency Room.This will trigger another reality shift to the present.
7	Speak to Ethan. Tell him that you are trying to get to the Fabricator Lab and he will open the doors for you. You can also trigger a Persuasion Challenge where you can get a weapon to fight off the Cataxi on the other side.
8	Take the stairs next to the Atrium down the hall.
9	Once you enter and get past the near Elevator, realities will shift again. Continue your way and take the door on the left. There's some Cataxi on the way so defeat them first then head to the left door besides the overgrown anomaly.
10	Run up to the stairs leading to the second floor to the Fabricator Lab that is now accessible at the left side.
11	Head inside the Fabricator Lab and speak to Maria in the Probe Control Unit.
12	Assist Maria L Stand in the Distortions. L Find A Probe Control Unit L Speak to Maria again to report your findings.
13	Speak with Director Patel You will be also offered health supplies for your journey which is optional.
14	Take the Elevator to get to the Nishida Research Level.
15	Open the computer terminal override the lockdown in the facilities section
16	Use the Distortion next to the Acceleration Robotics door to switch realities and get the Nishina Utility Closet Keycard and use the Distortion to switch back realities again.
17	Head to the Utility Closet, then use the keycard to enter and switch realities again. In the ruins, the computers are inaccessible so you'll have to use the nearby Distortion to switch back to reality then override the Accelerator Mainframe Computer then the Accelerator Control Room Computer.
18	Proceed to the Storage Room Computer to shutdown the last security system then you'll be able to access the lab
19	Once you get inside the High Energy Research Lab, you can use the Distortions around to switch realities on which you reality you want to save.

Optional: Get Supplies

You can get health supplies to help you on your way from Dr. Barakova at the first floor. Pick up the 3 Medpacks and a Trauma Pack before you head back.
