In this Main Mission, you will face a decision to either "Go to the Eye" or "Stay at the Lodge," resulting in the loss of at least one companion regardless of your choice.

One Giant Leap → New Game Plus

One Giant Leap

In the One Giant Leap mission, once you arrive at Unity, you will meet another you from a different universe who will offer you the chance to be reborn. It is recommended to make a Manual Save here to return to this point anytime, as there is no going back.

Character Creation Background

The Background you choose during Character Creation is permanent and cannot be changed later. Your chosen Background determines your three Starting Skills, but all skills can still be acquired through leveling up.

Character Creation Traits

Traits selected during character creation in Starfield are permanent and cannot be modified or added. They can only be removed, not replaced, and the effects of unselected Traits cannot be obtained through any method.

Cannot reset skill points

In Starfield, you must be mindful of the skills you unlock or upgrade since you cannot respec skill points once allocated. You can earn skill points as you level up, and there's no level limit, which means that if you invest enough time, you can obtain all skill points in a single playthrough.

Cannot Retry Persuasion

Persuasion

When persuading an NPC, you have only one chance to succeed. Failing means you can't re-attempt the persuasion on the same NPC. It's recommended to unlock and rank up the "Persuasion" of the Social skills to increase your chances of success.

Missions Can Be Challenged Only Once

Cannot replay missions

Once you complete or fail a Mission, you won't be able to replay it to get rewards. The only ways to redo a mission are to load the saved data or start New Game Plus.

May Lose The Romancing Companion

May Loss your romancing companion

In Starfield, you can have a romantic relationship with one of the four main members of the Constellation: Barrett, Sarah, Sam, and Andreja. During the "High Price to Pay" mission, you will lose one of your companions, but the one who survives depends on your actions.
