Find The Kidnapper

Map	Location

Head to Lxyll II and track down the kidnapper at an Abandoned Outpost by the rocky mountain.

Use Your Scanner

If you find it challenging to navigate the area, simply activate your Scanner and trace the path marked by the white arrows. You can accomplish this while also conducting a brief Surveying of your surroundings as you go.

Watch Out For Automated Security

There's a couple of turrets inside and it will automatically attack you when you are within its range. Aside from that, Combat Robots are also guarding the area. You can expect to sustain damage from fighting your way in, so make sure that you have enough recovery items or medicine readily available.

Search The Kidnapper's Quarters For Clues

Inspect the Science Crate within the Kidnapper's Quarters to search for any signs of the Corrupted Slate that may provide clues about the recent abduction. Additionally, inside the crate, you might uncover a rare rifle item imbued with Space-Adept that grants a +30% damage bonus in space and a -15% damage while on a planetary surface.

Return The Slate To The Retreat

Once you get the slate head back to The Eleos Retreat and find Sloan inside the infirmary and give the Corrupted Slate.

Discuss Your Findings With The Retreat Staff

Sloan will approach Monika and request her assistance in decrypting the corrupted slate. This decryption process will reveal the identification numbers of a mysterious bounty hunter who they think might be affiliated with the Trackers Alliance.

Take Note Of The Suggestions From The Staffs

The bounty hunters appear to be conducting a supply run outside the system for the time being. Sloan is eager to initiate negotiations with them and seeks input from the group. Nevan proposes the idea of offering payment and potentially hiring them as contractors, while Greg advocates for a more aggressive approach, suggesting the possibility of eliminating them.

Sloan Request You To Try to Avoid Any Violence

Sloan strongly prefers a peaceful resolution when dealing with the bounty hunters, so please try to explore other options aside from attacking them when possible as your course of action might also affect companion affinity

The Quest Continues

Sloan will ask you if you can act as an emissary on the behalf of the retreat. When the conversation ends, the mission will be deemed accomplished, unlocking the subsequent quest, Exorcism.
