Farm White Veins On Frost Islands
Icium is only obtainable from outcrops on the Frost Islands map! You'll be able to find it in both blue and white outcrops, but the rarer white outcrops seem to have a higher chance to drop it. These white outcrops are indeed harder to find, but they'll be worth your time. Make sure to keep an eye out for them when exploring this map.
Easier To Obtain On Higher Ranks?
From our experience testing so far, it seems that Icium has a somewhat higher chance to drop from blue outcrops in higher rank quests. In lower ranks you mostly get Iron Ore and Earth Crystals from blue outcrops, so it seems somewhat less likely to get Icium. On higher ranks, you'll also be able to obtain the rarer Gracium, making it even more worth your time.
Farming During Ore Upsurges Is Most Efficient
If your map is experiencing an Upsurge in ores, the amount of ores you can get from a vein will increase. Every time you go on tour there will always be some sort of an environmental bonus (like an upsurge) active, so make sure to check if this is being applied to ores! This can dramatically improve your efficiency.
