Pukei Pukei makes its return after its first appearance in Monster Hunter World. You can see Pukei Pukei in action from the official lance trailer above.

Inhabits In The Woods

It seems that Pukei Pukei appears in the Flooded Forest map. It surrounds itself with lot of trees to camouflage its green body.

Uses Poison & Long Tongue

Pukei Pukei spits out poisonous toxins toward hunters. Prepare Antidote or Herbal Medicine to cure poison. Pukei Pukei will also try to attack your with its long tongue from afar.

Pukei Pukei Flies As Well

Since Pukei Pukei is a Bird Wyvern monster, it can fly using its wings. In MHW, Pukei Pukei hovers midair and eats fruits in high location.

Coral Pukei Pukei

Pukei Pukei has different form called Coral Pukei Pukei. In MHW, it was inhabited in the area called the Coral Highlands. Coral Pukei Pukei does not use poison but it shoots out water from its mouth and tail.

Spits out poisonous toxins towards the hunter. Try not to stand in front of Pukei Pukei to dodge the poison. Sometimes spits out 3 times in a row.

Stretches Long Tongue

Pukei Pukei sticks out its long tongue forward. Pukei Pukei look down right before peforming this tongue attack so dodge sideways.

Tongue Attack + Charge

Pukei Pukei sometimes charge towards the hunter after performing a tongue attack. You'll get hit if you dodge backward so be sure to dodge the tongue attack sideways.

Tail Attack

Similar to other large monsters, Pukei Pukei also uses spinning tail attack. To dodge this attack, you'd need to keep a distance from it.
