Updated Specialized Tools In MHW: Iceborne
Upgraded Mantles With Decoration Slots
In Iceborne, Hunters will be able to upgrade their mantles which will give the tool slots where decorations can be put in. This will provide an extra boost in skills when using your mantles.

Even though you've put decorations into your mantles, these skills will only activate when the mantles are worn. Keep this in mind and don't rely on these decorations completely unless you plan to use certain mantles frequently.

How To Use Specialized Tools
Select Specialized Tools When Changing Equipment
You can use Specialized Tools when you change your equipment from the Item Box or the Workshop. You can also save your Specialized Tools as part of your Equipment Loadout.
Increase To 2 Specialized Tool Slots After Main Story
After you complete the final quest and defeat your first Xeno'jiiva, you'll be rewarded with an additional slot to carry another Specialized Tool.

You can equip a mantle or place a booster down by selecting it from your item menu during a hunt. You can check the menu at the lower-right corner of the screen.
Don't Forget To Unequip When Effect Expires
Mantles take a while to recharge before you can use them again and this cooldown begins after you remove the mantle. Make sure to unequip it as soon as the effect expires to automatically start the cooldown.
Use "Tool Specialist" Skill To Lessen Cooldown
The "Tool Speciality" skill can be used to lessen the recharge time of both mantles and boosters. If Specialized Tools are important in your gameplay, it's recommended to have this skill equipped & activated.

Specialized Tools in Monster Hunter World provide unique effects and benefits that greatly aid you in any hunt. There are two types - mantles & boosters. Mantles provide Hunter-specific uses while boosters affect the entire party.
Usage Of Specialized Tools Are Limited
Specialized Tools have effects and they expire after a short period of time. They also have a recharge time before you can use them again.
