Anjanath - Tips and Tricks

Positioning - Observe Anjanath from its Sides, Next to its Legs

Anjanath can attack hunters from all directions. His moves however has obvious cues and large openings to exploit. Stay sideways from its legs to observe Anjanath's moves while avoiding it's dangerous head and tail.

Use Earplugs(Lv3)

Anjanath frequently roars to stun hunters and break attacks. Don't give him this opportunity by equipping Earplugs. Since its a Weak Roar, Lv3 will suffice. On higher HRs, having a Rocksteady Mantle is good enough.

Hit the Head and Legs!

Stunning Anjanath will cause it to go down the ground, leaving it open to charged attacks and combos.

Cut its Tail to Reduce Range

Cutting Anjanath's Tail makes it easier to attack him from the rear as its Tail Swipe is easier to dodge due to its shortened range.

Flash When Enraged

Using Flash Pods when Anjanath is enraged might make its attacks unpredictable, but it will give you breathing space for healing while waiting for his rage to subside.

Upgrade Your Armor

New hunters might be surprised at the steep difficulty spike when encountering this monster for the first time. By simply upgrading or forging new armor to match Anjanath's damage help in mitigating its damage and increasing the hunter's chance of survival.

Use Environmental Hazards to Your Advantage

Many objects in Anjanath's patrol path can be used to take him down. Traps, ledges, and healing collectibles are all abound. Pay special attention to Ledges for massive damage and mounting options, as well as Herbs and Honey to keep your HP topped.
