Kulu-Ya-Ku - Tips & Tricks
Aim To Damage It's Head
If you want to deal the most damage to the Kulu-Ya-Ku, aim to damage it by hitting its head. Since the monster attacks whatever is in front of it, you can opt to position yourself to the side while still aiming at the monster's weak spot.
Make It A Habit To Dodge To The Side
It is best to dodge to the side when facing a Kulu-Ya-Ku. Despite only attacking its front, it has a very long range of attack. It may still hit you with its attacks even if you dodge backwards due to its leaping ability, and long reach.
Kulu-Ya-Ku Occasionally Picks Up a Rock
Keep an eye on when the Kulu-Ya-Ku picks up a rock. It acts as both a shield and weapon for the monster. It will shield the Kulu-Ya-Ku from your attacks, while at the same time, lets the monster use it to bash you for tons of damage!Check Out Kulu-Ya-Ku Monster Info Here!
Kulu-Ya-Ku - Weak Spots & Effective Damage Type
|The feathers on its head will fall off, making the Kulu-Ya-Ku look worn out when its head is broken|
The only weak part of the Kulu-Ya-Ku is its head. It is also a breakable part which makes a cracking sound when destroyed, and will make the feathers on its head to fall off.

Recommended Elemental Weapons
Water is the most effective element against the Kulu-Ya-Ku
Any other element is a great choice when facing the Kulu-Ya-Ku
|Attack Boost||Increases attack damage, and increases affinity at higher levels|
|Weakness Exploit||Attacks that hit weak spots have an increased affinity|
|Flash Pod||Stuns monster for a few seconds with flash of light|
Best Specialized Tools
|Rocksteady Mantle||Eliminates damage reactions, prevents wind effects, protects your hearing, and grants tremor resistance. You also receive less damage from attacks|
|Evasion Mantle||Increases the invulnerability window while evading and grants a temporary attack boost for evading a monster attack at the very last moment|
|Affinity Booster||Places a smoker that increases affinity|
Kulu-Ya-Ku - Moves & Counters
|Peck||Will peck at whatever is in front of it three times in a row while moving forward. Can be evaded by dodging to the side.|
|Scratch Attacks||After a brief wind-up, will swipe at whatever is in front of it.|
|Leap Attack||Will jump forward and attack you using its hind legs, or rock, depending on whether it has picked up an object. Can be dodged by evading to the side.|
|Rock Slam||Will slam the rock at whatever is in front of it. Can be dodged by moving to the side.|
Kulu-Ya-Ku Can Jump Long Distances
The Kulu-Ya-Ku is able to jump for long distances in order to hit the Hunter. Instead of trying to evade by dodging backward, it is best to dodge to the side to completely avoid getting hit by its long range leap attack,
Slinger Makes the Kulu-Ya-Ku Drop The Rock
