Obtain Wirebug Before Taking The Egg

Wirebug

You can use Wirebug even while holding the egg, so utilize it to move quickly through the map. Note that you can't obtain Wirebugs while holding the egg, make sure to obtain one ahead of time.

Wirebugs From Area 9, 10, & 11

Wirebug Locations

We recommend getting the Wirebugs from Area 9, 10, & 11 given their proximity to the egg. Note that the Wirebug will not reappear once you take it, so in the event that you failed and need another one, retrieve it from a different area.

Carry The Egg And Don't Break it!

Broken Egg
Actions That Will Break The Egg ・Pressing the Y button
・Take a hit from a monster
・Fall from a high place
・Completely lose stamina
※ Doesn't apply while climbing ivy
・Fast travel
Extra Notes・Can't ride Palamute

Be careful not to break the egg that you picked up from Area 11 as you carry it back to the Main Camp. You can avoid running out of stamina or getting attacked by monsters by utilizing Wiredash. Avoid flying too high because the egg might break.

Land Safely From Area 11 Cliff With Wirebug

The quickest way to move from Area 11 to Area 9 is to jump from the cliff and use Wiredash (ZL+A) before landing to cushion the fall. The egg won't break even if you use Wiredash from a relatively high spot as you descend, so avoid any last minute moves to ensure your safe descent.

When In Doubt, Just Climb The Ivy

If you're having trouble using Wiredash to safely descend, you also have the option of simply climbing down using the ivy. It will take more time, but it's a good way to safely carry the egg down.

Watch Out For Monsters Along The Way

Watch Out For Monsters

After getting down from the cliff, quickly sprint back to the Main Camp. There may be monsters that might attack you on the way, so make sure to save your Wirebug gauges for emergencies.

Bring To The Supply Box

Bring To Supply Box

Once you arrive at the Main Camp, carry the egg to the Supply Box and put it in by using the A button. Be careful not to accidentally break the egg by running out of stamina or pressing the wrong button.
