2 teams of 6 players battle against one another to get control of Hardpoints and earn points for their team. It's a King of the Hill battle where the team with the most points wins.
Control The Objective
The team controlling a Hardpoint gains points as long as they control the area. The longer a team controls an area, the more points they get. Either team can contest the ownership of a point by simply entering the objective area.

| Riot Shield Melee Weapon | Purely defensive. Use this to hold or contest a point. |
Criteria For Recommendations
Weapons With Fast Fire Rate And Versatile Range
Hardpoint requires you to shoot fast and effective as you go through various points in the map. Versatility and mobility is a must for this game mode where your objectives often shift.
Easy To Obtain
A weapon that's locked behind many hoops and loops may be difficult to obtain and is impractical as recommendations, so a weapon's attainability is considered in the assessment.

Lethals For Close Quarters
With limited space in Hardpoints, having a high damage close quarters explosives is a must to quickly deal against multiple enemies. This will disorient if not outright kill them.
Insta-Kill With Throwing Knife
Throwing Knife is a insta-kill if it lands a target infantry. In close quarters, it can kill opponents faster than a gun.

The best way to prevent enemies from storming into a Hardpoint is by blowing them up before they can even enter. Set up claymores around a Hardpoints entrances to prevent enemies from filling in.

The Flash Grenade can be used to for both offensive and defensive ways. Throw one at the start of your assault at a Hardpoint or use it to disorient enemies storming into one.

Hardpoint Recommended Perk
| Perk | Description |
|---|---|
| E.O.D. | Take reduced damage from non-killstreak explosives and fire. Hack enemy Claymores, Proximity Mines, and C4. |
| Shrapnel | Spawn with an extra piece of lethal equipment. Explosive damage delays enemy health regeneration. |
Use Enemy Explosives Against Them With EOD Perk
Hacking enemy explosives is a great way to trap them into injuring themselves. They'll be complacent that it's theirs and be effectively blown up thanks to your perk!
Shrapnel Ties with Use of Grenades in Tight Spaces
Since grenades are extremely useful in Hardpoint, this Perk amps up its effectiveness even further. Hit targets gets a delay in their regeneration, making it easier for you to clean them up.
Hardpoint Tips
Do Not Go into Hardpoints Alone
It's a very bad idea to try to storm a Hardpoint held by an enemy team by yourself. This will just get you killed. Try to have backup with you at all times when approaching Hardpoints.
Play The Objective
Hardpoint requires a player to be inside the objective to either contest or capture it. Play the objective and try to control an area. The enemy team will surely come to fight for it so sit tight and defend!
Flank Hardpoints from Multiple Sides
Do not just go through an entrance with your entire team because the enemy team could have set up a choke point there. Instead, divide your team and flank enemies from multiple sides to catch them offguard.
Shoot Enemies Focused on Other Teammates
There's no better target than one that is distracted by something else. Take advantage of enemies engaged with something else to quickly defeat them.
