Completely Reimagined Story
Modern Warfare's campaign has undergone a revision to reflect a narrative that is more fitting for the times that we live in. However, we still get to see some old and familiar faces such as Captain John Price.

New characters and factions, each with their motives and beliefs will emerge to challenge the thin line on what's right and wrong. Meet the Karim siblings fighting for sovereignty, and Omar Sulaman, leader of Al-Qatala (The Killers).

New Large Map Mode: Ground War
Ground War pits two large teams against each other in a large sprawling map. The area is littered with control points that teams need to capture and hold. Holding more control points rewards more points. First team to reach score limit wins.
Check Out Multiplayer Modes Here!New 2v2 Mode: Gunfight
The new Gunfight Mode pits 2 teams against each other in a small map. Eliminating the enemy team will win you the round. The first team to reach the round limit wins.
Varying Loadouts
You will be given a random loadout at the start of each round. It's up to you how to best use your equipment to get the upper hand against the enemy team!
New Mounting Mechanic
Players now have the option to mount weapons onto walls and ledges. This allows you to peek through obstacles without exposing much of your body. A great tactic that can improve survivability and switch up play styles!
How to use New Controls & Actions Guide here!Night Vision Goggle Usage
Some maps will throw you into very dark areas such as the inside of caves. Fighting against enemies in the dark is very difficult. However, you will be able to toggle night-vision goggles which allows you to see in the dark!
More Options In Custom Loadouts
Custom Loadouts features a roster of returning classic weapons and equipment such as the M4A1 weapon and Hardline Perk. However, new weapons and equipment are introduced to give you more options on designing loadouts!

The Gunsmith also changes up weapon customization in Modern Warfare. Each attachment and perk that you equip will both have positive and negative effects to your weapon's performance.
Perks Now Attachable To Weapons
Weapon Customization now also allows you to attach a perk to your weapon! Keep in mind that weapons can have a maximum of one perk at any given time.
Crossplay Availability
Available For All Platforms
Crossplay will also be available in Modern Warfare. All platforms will have this feature, allowing them to squad up with other players from different platforms!

In order for the game to keep track of your stats through different platforms, you will need to have a Call of Duty account. If you have not made a Call of Duty account, you can do so here.
Choose Your Input Method
You will also have the option to choose your input method, regardless of the platform you are playing on. This means you can opt for a mouse and keyboard on Xbox One and PS4, but also choose to use a controller on PC.
You Can Fight Against Other Input Methods
By default, you will be matched up against players who have chosen the same input method as you. However, you can change this setting to match up against players of different input methods!
