Tips! | Physical tends to be weak to Durability, Magic tends to be weak to Physical, and Durability tends to be weak to Magic. |

PvP Best Hero Ranking | Tier List
Some Skills Are Stronger/Weaker Than in Regular Arena
| Strong Skills | Skills That Become Slightly Weaker |
| - Repeat-activation skills after defeating an enemy - Debuff Removal (2 or more) - Buff Removal - Buff Duration Reduction - Healing - Clone | - Crowd Control status effects └ Can't delay skill activation timing - HP Alteration └ Easily countered with healing |
In Real Time Arena, you can activate skills manually, so some skills become relatively stronger or weaker compared to the regular Arena. In general, skills that are powerful when activated under specific conditions tend to become stronger.

Kyrielle | - Being able to choose skill timing is a great fit └ Her Debuff Removal + Consecutive Activation is rated top-class - Excels both as an AoE Paralysis unit and as a support - You'll want to stack up Weakness Hit Chance |
Sung Jinwoo | - Being able to choose skill timing is a great fit └ Makes it easy to make use of the damage boost later in battle └ You can also time the Pierce skill based on the enemy's situation |
Juri | - Being able to choose skill timing is a great fit └ Simply applying Souldeath when you can finish off an enemy is powerful - Durability concerns are easy to cover by banning the right party - Best used by banning the enemy's Durability Party |
Rosie | - Being able to choose skill timing is a great fit └ For example, reviving after 2 allies fall, or holding back Death - Death can easily become the finishing blow in Durability mirror matches - Also effective when built for a Status Ailment Success Rate boost |
In RTA, you need to build 3 parties using up to 15 heroes. Actively including heroes with skills that are advantageous in RTA makes your parties harder to beat than simply building 3 parties that are strong in the regular Arena.

Real Time Arena Strategy Tips
- Build at least 2 strong parties
└ Refer to the 4 example parties below - It's fine to skimp on equipment your opponent can't see
- Keep basic party matchups in mind
- It's best to decide your ban party in advance
- At low ranks, it's fine to choose bans based on average Transcendence count
- Check your opponent's icons to aim for repeat activations
Build at Least 2 Strong Parties
Since 1 of your 3 parties will become unusable due to a ban, you need to build a strong party that's likely to be banned plus at least 1 more strong party. Ideally all 3 parties would be strong, but first aim to build 2 strong parties.
Reference: 4 Example Sample Parties
| Team | Example Team Members | ||||
Physical | Kagura | Elysia | Branze & Bransel | Kyle | Lu Bu |
Magic | Melia | Kyrielle | Mercure | Reginleif | Freyja |
Durability | Radgrid | Rosie | Gelidus | Pallanus | Sun Wukong |
Death | Aquila | Knox | Rosie | Kris | Pallanus |
As rough examples, there are 4 types of parties: Physical, Magic, Durability, and Death. Some heroes, like Sun Wukong, can fit into multiple parties, but since they can't be used in more than one at once, make use of substitute heroes.
For specific party building and substitute hero candidates, refer to the following.
| Team Party Variations | |||
|---|---|---|---|
Physical Party | Magic Party | Tank Party | Death Party |
It's Fine to Skimp on Equipment Your Opponent Can't See
When choosing which party to ban, your opponent can check your heroes' and pets' rank and Transcendence status, but they can't see your equipment or Hero Potential.
Especially if you don't have enough Legendary rings to make your 3rd party viable, compromise on equipment for the 3rd party you won't actually use, and focus on your other 2 parties.
Tips! | Build a "fake-looking strong party" lined with heavily-Transcended heroes, and it's a bonus if your opponent bans it. Of course, ideally all 3 parties would be viable, but... |
|---|
Keep Basic Party Matchups in Mind
| Party | Advantage/Disadvantage | Countermeasures for Unfavorable Parties |
![]() Physical Party | Slightly favored vs Magic Party Slightly favored vs Death Party Slightly disadvantaged vs Durability Party | Ace Yuand more |
![]() Magic Party | Slightly favored vs Durability Party Slightly favored vs Death Party Slightly disadvantaged vs Physical Party | Radgrid Sun Wukongand more |
![]() Durability Party | Slightly favored vs Physical Party Slightly disadvantaged vs Magic Party Slightly disadvantaged vs Death Party | Elysia Spikeand more |
![]() Death Party | Slightly favored vs Durability Party Slightly disadvantaged vs Physical Party Slightly disadvantaged vs Magic Party | Radgrid Pallanusand more |
This naturally varies depending on the meta and counter-pick heroes, but the pure party matchup tends to follow a 3-way cycle of Physical > Magic > Durability > Physical. Also, Death Parties are strong against Durability Parties that don't run Debuff Removal (or only run it on Rudy).
Including counter-pick heroes, like running Ace in a Physical Party, can overcome a certain degree of matchup disadvantage. On the other hand, keep in mind that it can also put you at a disadvantage in matchups you'd normally favor, or in an even mirror match.
It's Best to Decide Your Ban Party in Advance
For example, if you decide in advance that "in a meta where Physical and Durability are strong, you'll ban Physical Parties," you don't need to worry about countering Physical Parties, and can instead build a comp specialized against Durability Parties, such as a Ace + Yu Physical build plus a Death Party.
Even if the former gets banned, you can still use your remaining Death Party to keep Durability Parties in check, which increases the chance your opponent will have to bring out their least confident 3rd party.
Tips! | At low ranks, it's fine to simply ban whichever party has the highest average Transcendence count. This is just a tip to help raise your win rate! |
|---|
Check Your Opponent's Icons to Aim for Repeat Activations

As a very important point for aiming to trigger repeat-activation skills, such as those of Lu Bu, Branze & Bransel, and Freyja, check not only HP but also whether they have Guts, and how many stacks of Damage Nullification, Damage Immunity, or Indomitable remain. Checking for Guts should be your first priority.
| Icon | Usage Example |
Guts | If Kagura doesn't have Guts, her opening repeat-activation skill is effective |
Indomitable | If 2 stacks remain, Lu Bu's or Freyja's skill is effective, if 3 remain, Branze & Bransel's skill is effective |
Damage Nullification | |
Damage Immunity | Pierce skills and Buff Duration Reduction skills are effective |
What is Real Time Arena?
PvP Where You Fight Other Players in Real Time

Real Time Arena (RTA) is PvP content where you fight other players 5-on-5 in real time. It's new content from the February 19 update, and its major difference from the regular Arena is that you can select skills instead of them activating automatically.
Tips! | Real Time Arena becomes available once you clear Adventure 14-50. |
|---|
You Can Match at Any Time During the Battle Period
Real Time Arena runs on a season system, and you can match at any time during the battle period. Be sure to actively participate whenever you can.
Rewards Include a Special Costume

The headline rewards are special costumes and frames that can only be obtained from Real Time Arena. You need to maintain a certain rank or higher to earn these rewards.
Friendly Matches With Specific Opponents Are Also Possible
You can invite a specific opponent from your friends list, guild list, or by searching their nickname and Player ID to hold a friendly match. This doesn't affect your ranking, but it's useful when you want to battle a friend or practice.
Tips! | If you're invited, you can accept or decline from your whispers. |
|---|
Conditions for Players Who Can Be Invited
- Online
- RTA unlocked (Adventure 14-50 cleared)
- RTA team already set up
- Whisper (1:1 chat) unlocked
- Not blocked or reported
- Friendly Match Invites setting is ON
Only players who meet the above conditions can be invited to a friendly match. If you can't invite someone, check whether the above conditions are met.
Real Time Arena Rules
Flow of Real Time Arena
| 1. | Build 3 parties |
| 2. | Choose your banned team and the team you'll use |
| 3. | Select a skill when your skill turn comes |
| 4. | Effects may apply as turns pass |
| 5. | Points increase or decrease based on victory or defeat |
1. Build 3 Parties

In Real Time Arena, you need to build 3 parties. You'll actually only use 1 party, but you first show all 3 parties to your opponent, then select 1 of them to use.
2. Choose Your Banned Team and the Team You'll Use

Once matched, both players' 3 parties are revealed, and you can designate 1 party you don't want your opponent to use as the banned team. Select 1 party to use in battle from among the parties that weren't banned.
Tips! | You need to designate your banned team and your team to use within 30 seconds each. |
|---|
Diamond II and Below Don't Have a Ban Team Selection
At Diamond II rank and below, there's no banned team selection, and you can use whichever of your 3 parties you like.
If a player at Diamond II or below matches with a player at Diamond I or above, only the Diamond II-or-below player can designate 1 of their opponent's teams as the banned team.
3. Select a Skill When Your Skill Turn Comes
In Real Time Arena, skills don't activate automatically — instead, each time your skill turn comes, you select which skill to use within 10 seconds. The battle progresses as both players repeat this process.
4. Effects Apply as Turns Pass
To prevent battles from dragging on, after a certain number of turns pass, the "Sign of the Rift" triggers, applying effects like increased damage dealt and reduced healing and Barrier durability.
Sign of the Rift Trigger Conditions and Effects
| Trigger Condition | Effect |
| Lv.1 40 turns elapsed | Damage dealt increased 10% HP healing received and Barrier durability reduced 10% |
| Lv.2 50 turns elapsed | Damage dealt increased 20% HP healing received and Barrier durability reduced 30% |
| Lv.3 60 turns elapsed | Damage dealt increased 30% HP healing received and Barrier durability reduced 50% |
5. Points Increase or Decrease Based on Victory or Defeat
Points Change Based on Point Difference With Your Opponent
| Opponent | On Victory | On Defeat |
| Higher-ranked | Large increase | Small decrease or no decrease |
| Lower-ranked | Small increase | Large decrease |
The points you gain on victory or lose on defeat change based on the point difference between you and your matched opponent. Beating a higher-ranked opponent greatly increases your points, while losing to a lower-ranked opponent greatly decreases them.
There's a Win Streak Bonus Up to Diamond Rank
| Win Streak | Win Streak Bonus |
| 2 wins | +10 points |
| 3 wins | +20 points |
| 4 wins | +30 points |
| 5 wins | +40 points |
| 6+ wins | +50 points |
Up to Diamond rank, winning consecutively grants an additional win streak bonus. Once you reach Master rank or higher, the win streak bonus no longer applies, so having a high win rate becomes important.
Your Final Rank Determines Your Starting Rank Next Season
| Final Rank (Points) | Next Season Starting Rank (Points) |
| Champion - Diamond (4000+) | Gold 3 (2000) |
| Platinum (3000-3999) | Silver 1 (1000) |
| Gold - Bronze (0-2999) | Bronze 3 (0) |
Your final point total (rank tier) at the end of the season determines your starting points for the next season. It would be a waste to end the season at Gold 1 or Platinum 1, so it's better if you can aim for Platinum or Diamond rank or higher.
