Effects of Freeze
Unable to Act While Active

Freeze is a type of debuff that occurs during battle. Heroes afflicted with it are unable to act for its duration. The unable to act state from Freeze continues until the Hero is hit by an enemy attack or the Freeze debuff is removed.
Ignore Defense Damage Occurs When Freeze Is Removed
When the Freeze state is removed, it deals Ignore Defense damage equal to 40% of the target's max HP. The maximum damage dealt is capped at 300% of the Attack of the skill user (the Hero who inflicted the Freeze).
Heroes with Freeze Immunity and Other Countermeasures
Freeze Immunity

The most effective countermeasure against Freeze is to include a Hero with "Freeze Immunity" in your team. While the Immunity effect is active, you won't be Frozen, allowing you to attack without being stopped.
Lania

Lania is a Magic Attacker specializing in Freeze who can both provide Freeze Immunity and inflict Freeze. She also has an AoE attack skill, so add her to your team if you want to focus on offense.
Lania - Rating & SkillsFeng Yan

Feng Yan is an attacker with Freeze Immunity. He is a late-bloomer who gains Defense Reduction + Ignore Defense effects through Transcendence. He also has Damage Immunity, which makes him hard to defeat.
His performance is modest in the early game, so if you need a Freeze Immunity Hero early on, we recommend using Lania.
Feng Yan - Rating & SkillsCrowd Control Immunity
With a Crowd Control Immunity buff, you can nullify debuff effects that would make the target unable to act. It's highly versatile as it can negate multiple types of debuffs.
Can Also Be Granted by Orchestrator Equipment
You can activate the Crowd Control Immunity effect with the 4-Set Effect of "Orchestrator" equipment. The Orchestrator Set equipment drops from the Iron Devourer Raid.
![]() | The effect duration is short, so think of it as primarily for PvP. |

Increase Effect Resistance

By increasing Effect Resistance, you can have a chance to evade debuff effects from enemies. It's not a guaranteed evasion, but it's highly versatile because you can similarly evade all other types of debuffs.
Debuff Removal

When Debuff Removal activates, you can remove a specified number of debuffs from the target Hero. Removable debuffs are those with a black background icon; be aware that debuffs with a red background cannot be removed.
Make the Enemy's Attack Miss
Status ailments are not inflicted by attacks that Miss. By using skills that cause enemy attacks to Miss, you can sometimes avoid Paralysis.
Examples of How to Cause a Miss
1. | Inflict |
---|---|
2. | Use |
Increase HP and Defense
Since you cannot Block while Paralyzed, you'll be easily defeated even if you increase your Block Rate with gear like Gatekeeper equipment. If you have no choice but to take the Paralysis, increase your HP and Defense.

How to Increase the Infliction Rate of Freeze
Equip the Spellweaver Set
Set | Set Effect |
---|---|
![]() | 2-Set: Effect Hit Rate 17% 4-Set: Effect Hit Rate 35% Effect Probability 10% |
You get a Set Effect by equipping weapons and armor with matching icons in the bottom left. Among these, the "Spellweaver" Set Effect increases Effect Probability. The Spellweaver Set equipment drops from the Iron Devourer Raid.
![]() | To activate the 4-Set Effect, you need to increase the Hero's equipment slots via Ultimate Enhancement. |
---|
Increase Effect Probability

Since Paralysis is a type of debuff, you can increase the infliction rate by including Heroes with an Effect Probability Boost effect in your team. Consider this if your strategy revolves around status ailments.
List of Heroes with Effect Probability Boost
Name | Detail |
---|---|
![]() | - A powerful healer with an all-ally Revive and Guts. - Also recommended for Death parties. - Good to pair with a debuffer. - Equipping HP-boosting equipment is recommended. - Cannot be obtained from Summon. |
Increase Effect Hit Rate

An effect similar to Effect Probability is Effect Hit Rate. This effect is strictly a countermeasure against opponents with high Effect Resistance.
If the opponent's Resistance is 0%, this won't increase the probability, but it is a necessary effect if you want to inflict it on an opponent with high Resistance.
Equip the Ring of the Snow

When you equip the Ring of the Snow, you will inflict Freeze with a 12% chance on Basic Attacks. Increasing the opportunities to inflict it makes it easier to land a Freeze.
