Magic Party Features

A Special Attack-Focused Party Centered on Magic-Type Heroes

The Magic Party is a team built around Magic-type heroes. Unlike the Physical Party, which relies on high raw damage output, the Magic Party's defining trait is that it often deals damage through special attacks like Magic Reflux, Crystal Cluster, and HP Alteration.

Strong Against Sustain Parties, Weak Against Physical Parties

Since special attacks deal damage regardless of the enemy's durability, the Magic Party tends to have the advantage against Sustain Parties. On the other hand, its own durability is on the lower side, so it can sometimes be overwhelmed by a Physical Party's raw firepower.

That said, the Magic Party's damage output and durability have recently improved, and the matchup is becoming more even.

This is an example Magic Party built around Sunran. If the enemy is also using Sunran, having higher Attack than the opponent makes them easier to defeat. O'Mok is also an option in place of Skuld.

Tips!	If you open with Skuld's Skill 2 Cooldown Increase, keep in mind that it only triggers for Dongyoung once he reaches 6th Transcendence.

This is an example Magic Party built around Eileene. Although she's a Universal-type Physical Attacker, she excels as a Debuffer for Defense and Incoming Healing Reduction, making her a viable option for the Magic Party when you want to account for Sustain heroes.

Must-Have Heroes for Magic Party

Hero	Features
Yoongun	One of the strongest Magic Attackers in the game, with damage output among the best of any hero, making Yoongun a top priority for any Magic Party.
Dongyoung	Dongyoung is strong against Sustain Parties, making him an excellent choice in metas where Sustain Parties are common. Try to boost his Attack as much as possible when using him.

Other Notable Hero Candidates

Skuld	A great Debuffer for the Magic Party, standing out for unique effects like Barrier Durability Reduction and an Awakening Skill combining HP Alteration and Unable to Recover.
Silvesta	A powerful Magic Attacker with Ignore Defense, making him an especially great fit for the Magic Party. His only buff/debuff effect is a Magic Attack Boost on Debuff Removal, so pairing him with heroes who cover that gap makes him even stronger.
Hayeon	She excels at increasing a strong Attacker's opportunities to act through Cover and Cooldown Reduction. Her 6th Transcendence passive can also lower Sunran's Attack, and it's powerful against Sustain Parties too since it reduces their Defense.
Reginleif	An excellent Support/Attacker hybrid who can boost both the Magic Party's damage output and durability. She comes with team-composition restrictions, but she's absolutely one to build around if you can.
Melia	Her strengths include some of the best durability stats of any hero, her dedicated skill Crystal Resonance, and her Always Active Magic Vulnerability. Magic Bond is already strong with 3 heroes, but with 5 it grants a Barrier, making the whole party much tankier.
O'Mok	His Guardian Spirit, which he can grant to Magic-type heroes, is powerful, making him a great Support/Attacker pick for the Magic Party.
Eileene	Though she's a Universal-type Physical Attacker, she's useful as a Debuffer capable of Defense and Incoming Healing Reduction. She's a solid option if you want to counter Sustain Parties.
Freyja	Her ability to chain HP Alteration and Buff Removal skills is powerful, and she performs as one of the top AoE Attackers for the Magic Party.
Rin	A great Magic-type hero who can whittle down enemy damage output with Confusion and Weakness Hit Chance Reduction.
Juri	Her Souldeath effect, which prevents enemy Revive and Immortality, is powerful. It's best applied before Freyja's HP Alteration.
Yeonhee	Opening with her Skill 2 strips Damage Nullification from all enemies while applying Deep Sleep, making her effective in the opening turns. Deep Sleep is also useful as a countermeasure against Sustain heroes or those with Blessing.
Mercure	His Magic Reflux is extremely powerful and pairs especially well with heroes who attack often, like Sun Wukong and Yeonhee. His Incoming Healing Reduction is also great as a counter to enemy Sun Wukong.
Sung Jinwoo	A Magic Attacker whose damage output increases the longer the battle goes on. Pairing him with Melia or Reginleif to cover his durability lets him make the most of his kit, making them great partners.

Best Pets for Magic Party

Yu, Useful for Physical, Magic, and Sustain Parties Alike

It can lower Incoming Healing and Defense, making it especially useful against heroes with healing effects like Dellons and Silvesta. It can also work as a counter to Sustain Parties, but it's better to pair it with an Incoming Healing Reduction hero like Reginleif as well.

Jeo, Known for High Burst Damage

Since it boosts both Damage Dealt and Attack, it pairs well with high-damage heroes like Silvesta and Freyja. Its Attack Boost is large but limited to 4 turns, making it effective when you want to burst the enemy down quickly.

Yeonji as an Alternative to Yu or Jeo

It can boost Magic Attack, making it a safe, easy-to-use pet when you want to raise the Magic Party's damage output. It's an option if you don't have Yu or Jeo.

Yorang for Reducing Physical or Magic Damage Output

It offers Weakness Hit Chance Reduction and can boost Damage Dealt for 4-5 target attack skills, making it especially useful when you want to reduce the damage output of Physical or Magic Parties. The Damage Dealt boost for 4-5 target attack skills also pairs well with heroes like Silvesta and Freyja.
