Effect of Death
Become Incapacitated After 3 Turns

Death is a type of debuff that occurs during battle. A Hero afflicted with it takes damage equal to 20% of their current HP every turn and becomes incapacitated after 3 turns. It's a dangerous debuff with high damage and a high risk of incapacitation.
![]() | Because the Death effect is extremely dangerous, a mark indicating the Death status is displayed above the Hero, separate from the icon. If you see it, quickly remove it with a Debuff Removal skill from a Hero like Rudy. |

Effect Probability is Relatively Low
In exchange for being a dangerous status effect, Death tends to have a low number of targets it can be applied to and a relatively low success rate. Countering it with Damage Immunity or Debuff Removal is ideal, but in content like the Infinite Tower, it's also possible to overcome it through repeated attempts.
Stacking Death Debuffs Causes Instant Incapacitation
If a target already under a Death debuff receives another Death debuff, they will be instantly incapacitated. Be careful, as they will be defeated without question.
Heroes with Death Immunity and Other Countermeasures
Death Immunity

The most effective countermeasure for Death is to include a Hero with "Death Immunity" in your party. Since they will not be affected by Death while the Damage Immunity effect is active, you can avoid the risk of sudden incapacitation.
Leo

Leo is the only Hero with Death Immunity. He can also inflict Bleed, making him useful in clearing content like the Dark Particle Dungeon. It's also a plus that he can be obtained early in the game.
Leo's RatingIncrease Effect Resistance

By increasing your Effect Resistance, you can avoid debuff effects from enemies by chance. While it's not a guaranteed evasion, it's highly versatile as it can also help you avoid all other types of debuffs.
Debuff Removal

When Debuff Removal is activated, it can remove a specified number of debuffs from the target Hero. Debuffs that can be removed have a black background on their icon; be aware that debuffs with a red background cannot be removed.
Make the Enemy's Attack Miss
Status effects are not applied on a missed attack. By using skills that make enemy attacks miss, you may be able to avoid Death.
Examples of How to Make an Attack Miss

2. | Use |
Increase HP and Defense
While under the effect of Death, you take DoT, but since there are no other action-impairing effects, withstanding it is an option. If you have no choice but to take the Death damage and find it difficult to remove, increase your HP and Defense.

You get a Set Effect by equipping weapons and armor with matching icons in the bottom left. Among these, the "Spellweaver" Set Effect increases Effect Probability. Spellweaver Set equipment drops in the Iron Devourer Raid.
![]() | To activate the 4-Set Effect, you need to increase the number of equipment slots for a Hero through Ultimate Enhancement. |

Include Heroes with Effect Probability Boost in Your Party

Since Death is a type of debuff, you can increase its application rate by including Heroes with an Effect Probability Boost in your party. Consider this if you plan to fight primarily with status effects.

Equipping the Ring of Death will cause you to inflict Death with a 6% chance on Basic Attacks. Increasing the number of application opportunities makes it easier to cause Death.
