Adventure Level Normal 20-40 Overview

Difficult Without a Proper Team Comp

Adventure Normal 20-40 is difficult to brute force, especially without a balanced team or sufficient gear. Relying solely on high offensive units will not guarantee victory. This stage heavily emphasizes and rewards proper team building, making the right tools and immunities essential for clearing it.

In Adventure Normal 20-40, all enemies are highly dangerous and can inflict various debuffs such as Shock, Death, Bleed, and Poison. Additionally, Most enemies can boost their Magic Attack, Crit/ Crit damage, and more.

We recommend getting Leo, Lucy, Karon, and Chloe for the Death, Poison, Bleed, and Shock Immunities to make sure the team will not get immobilized and can deal damage properly to clear the stage.

Adventure Level Normal 20-40 Recommended Heroes

Crowd Control

Recommended Hero	Details
Yu Shin Mercure	Both Yu Shin and Mercure are mage-type characters who excel at crowd control. Mercure can stun enemies, while Yu Shin can paralyze them, preventing enemies from taking action on their turn.
Eileene Kagura	If you’re focusing on physical damage dealers, Eileen and Kagura are excellent choices. Eileen’s Shock and Kagura’s Petrify can effectively immobilize opponents, keeping them locked down for a while.

Damage Dealer (DPS)

Recommended Hero	Details
Teo	Most recommended DPS for this Adventure level. His skills deal high damage to all enemies, and with Immortality and All Damage Nullification, his survivability is high. Two Skill Enhancements are recommended but optional.
Freyja	She is a top-tier magic AoE attacker capable of HP Alteration on all enemies, Ignore Defense, Bleed, and Defense Reduction based on the number of buffs removed. Since her Effect Hit Rate UP activates when organized with Magic heroes, she has excellent synergy with Mercure and Juri.
Yeonhee	Yeonhee is a Magic Damage hero with a Defense-Ignoring Triple-Target Attack. She is an excellent DPS, capable of inflicting Sleep, and provides Magic Attack Boost to all allies while granting Magic Damage hero with a All Damage Nullification to herself.
Kyle	Another top contender for best Physical DPS, Kyle’s skills feature exceptional damage scaling, and his passive deals a percentage of the enemy’s Max HP every two attacks. He performs best when paired with two other Attack Type heroes and gains an additional 27% Crit Rate from his passive, making him very easy to build.
Rei	Optionally, if you don't have a Legendary sub-DPS, Rei is a solid choice. Her skills hit all enemies and can inflict Poison and Bleed, while her Physical Attack Boost increases her own damage output.

Immunities

Recommended Hero	Details
Leo	Leo is a character with Death Immunity, making him an excellent matchup against Knox. With proper healer support, he can serve as a strong attacker while inflicting Defense Reduction during the fight.
Chloe	Chloe has “Shock Immunity”, which prevents her from being shocked by enemies and Debuff Removal. Since the enemies in 16-30 also use shock skills, adding Chloe to your team helps reduce the risk of your party being immobilized.
Karon	Karon has “Bleed Immunity”, which prevents him from bleed debuff and healing.
Lucy	Lucy has “Poison Immunity”, which prevents her from Poison debuff and debuff removal.

Death

Recommended Hero	Details
Kris	Kris is the core of any Death Team, allowing you to clear stages without relying on high damage output.
Knox	Similar to Kris, Knox is used to inflict Death on enemies. His passive increases the Death infliction rate, making him an excellent support hero for Kris in Death Teams.
Aquila	Aquila is the newest addition to the Death Team. She can inflict Death with her Skill 2 and reduce the Death Turn count by 2 with Skill 1, greatly speeding up Death Team clears. She also provides the Link buff for the entire team, significantly boosting overall survivability.

Healers & Supporters

Recommended Hero	Details
Evan Sieg	Evan and Sieg, as a Tank that can also provide a Barrier and Defense Boost to the entire team. Alternatively, if you have two healers, you can swap them out for an additional DPS.
Elysia	Elysia is an AoE hero with exceptional support capabilities, including Defense Reduction, Silence, Buff Duration Reduction, Debuff Removal, and Increased Missed Chance. She can be used to counter Status Ailments and Crits.
Ace	Ace's skills are highly valuable in Adventure Mode. He inflicts Defense Reduction, Physical Vulnerability, Buff Duration Reduction, and Reduced Incoming Healing, creating opportunities for your team to deal higher damage and complete the run faster.
Lucy	Lucy is the best-suited healer for this fight, as she not only provides strong healing but also has a higher Debuff Removal count compared to other characters with the same skill.
Yui	Yui is the top recommended support for Adventure stages. She provides continuous healing, greatly boosting team survivability. Enhancing her healing skill for an extra turn is highly recommended.
Lina	Lina provides a Damage Boost and Continuous Healing. Paired with Yui, they ensure consistent team healing throughout the battle. Lina doesn't require any Skill Enhancement.

The first team formation is a balanced setup, placing crowd control damage dealers in the backline to maximize damage while avoiding enemy aggro. We chose Yeonhee/Mercure for Magical damage and Teo/Eileene for Physical damage.

We also recommend switching the Immunity Slot or Healers in favor of a CC hero to maximize the damage output to the enemies.

For the DPS Party, Teo or Kyle are best suited for the back line in Protective Formation. They’re strong attackers, and the formation’s boost further enhances their damage. Ace, Rachel, or Elysia can be added as backup attackers to help take down enemies more quickly.

Adding Lucy, Chloe, and Karon for Immunity will help your team to clear the stage.

For this team, we chose Rei as the Main Attacker due to her high attack power for a Rare character. She also has skills that inflict continuous damage, such as Bleed and Poison, which steadily chip away enemy HP. Since she’s a Rare Character, she’s easier to obtain and can be Transcended more easily.

Adding Lucy, Karon, Chloe, and Leo as they have Poison, Bleed, Shock and Death Immunity. Leo can act as a second attacker, besides his immunity to Death.

For general hero recommendation, bringing a dedicated cleanser appears to be more effective than attempting to cover all immunities. If you prioritize immunities, we suggest prioritizing this order: Death > Poison > Shock > Bleed = Poison.

Adventure Level Normal 20-40 Strategy & Tips

Bring Healers or Characters with Debuff Removal

Since the enemies can inflict debuffs on your characters, it’s best to include someone in your party who can cleanse them. We recommend adding Lucy, as she can remove up to three debuffs from allies. Alternatively, Karin is a great option if you want a healer who can also remove debuffs.

Rank Up Characters If Possible

One effective way to progress through tougher stages is by ranking up your characters. This boosts their stats and increases their star level, making it essential for clearing high-difficulty quests.

Transcend If There's Extra Characters Available

Transcendence provides an additional stat boost for your characters. If you have two or more copies of the same character, make sure to use them to transcend and gain these extra stats.

Transcend Also Unlocks Additional Skill Effects

In addition to boosting character stats, certain skill effects are unlocked at specific transcendence levels. This can give your party a valuable advantage, especially if you don’t have many Legendary characters.

Ultimate Enhancement To Equip More

Having two pieces of equipment is always better than one. By using Ultimate Enhancement, you can increase your main party’s equipment slots, making it easier to clear not just Adventure 20-40 but other challenging stages as well.

Unlock Hero Potential

To clear high-difficulty Power Up Dungeons, increasing Hero Potential is essential. If you are struggling to clear, try increasing the Hero Potential of your party members.

Upgrade Equipment Fox Max Power

Equipment plays a crucial role in your character’s growth, as it boosts stats based on the type of gear equipped. Upgrading your equipment further strengthens your characters, giving you an advantage in battles. Utilize this to your advantage against formidable enemies.

Enhance Hero Skills

Enhance your heroes' skills, prioritizing tanks and healers to boost their effectiveness and utility. Skill Enhancement materials can be obtained from Story Event rewards, the Shop, and the Infinite Tower.

Use Protective Formation

Protective Formation is the recommended setup for Adventure Modes. At Level 20, it boosts Back Row heroes' Attack by 26% and grants Front Row supports and healers a 6.5% Defense increase. Other formations can also work, but require more investment into your characters.

Tips!	Make sure to enhance the formation level for increased back row and front row effect. The higher the Formation level, the better.

Ultimate Enhance Your Team

If you have an Ultimate Enhancement Material, Leah, or spare Fusion fodder, it’s worth using them to add a weapon slot to your strongest 6★ Legendary DPS or an armor slot to other team members. While Adventure 20-40 is still manageable without them, your team may struggle to stay alive without sufficient Ultimate Enhancements.

Use Skill Queue

Auto Skills offer convenience, but they don't always select the optimal skills in critical situations. It's best to use the Skill Queue to start with a buff, then monitor combat and manually activate skills as needed.

Tips!	Strategically, queue buffs first, such as 'Shield', then use priority skills manually to gain the upper hand.
