Overview of Nightmare 10-30
Difficult Without Proper Team Comp

Nightmare 10-30 is difficult to brute force, especially without a balanced team or sufficient gear. Relying solely on high offensive units will not guarantee victory. This stage heavily emphasizes and rewards proper team building, making the right tools and immunities essential for clearing it.
Requires 2 Teams
It’s important to note that Nightmare Mode requires players to set up two separate teams per stage. This means you’ll need to raise more heroes and carefully balance both teams to ensure consistent clears.
Enemy Info

In Nightmare 10-30, the main threat is Nia, who can increase your team’s skill cooldowns by 120 seconds. If she successfully lands this skill, the run is usually over and requires a reset. To clear this stage, either use Crowd Control to prevent her from casting or burst Nia down quickly.

Nightmare 10-30 Team Formation Example
Depends on Your Roster

As Nightmare requires two teams to clear, the best heroes to bring for each team will vary. However, the Mercure Magic and Death teams stand out among the rest.
With Mercure teams with Platin excelling in damage and Crowd Control while Death teams focus on survivability and clearing enemies through the Death debuff.
Mercure-Platin Teams
| Front | Front | Front | Front | Back |
|---|---|---|---|---|
LinaHealer | Mercure Magic Flux | PlatinHP Alteration | Yu ShinCrowd Control | YeonheeDamage Dealer |
This is a great team for 10-30 Wave 1, with Yu Shin serving as the main Crowd Control hero to stun both Nias. Platin follows up with HP Alteration, which often targets both due to their higher number of buffs. Note that this team has limited flexibility, as you’ll need three Magic heroes to activate Magic Flux while maintaining Crowd Control Skills.
Magic Team
| Front | Front | Front | Front | Back |
|---|---|---|---|---|
LinaHealer | Mercure Magic Flux Flex Slot | Vanessa Biscuit LeoDebuffer/Immunity (Flex Slot) | Yu Shin RinFlex Slot | YeonheeDamage Dealer |
For Magic teams, Mercure is highly recommended for his Magic Flux effect, which can easily carry your team through early Nightmare stages. Note that Mercure requires three Magic-type allies to activate Magic Flux.
Physical Team
| Front | Front | Front | Front | Back |
|---|---|---|---|---|
EvanTank | YuiHealer | Eileene KaguraCrowd Control/Buffer | Biscuit Ace LeoDebuffer/Immunity (Flex Slot) | Teo KyleDamage Dealer |
For Physical-centric teams, Kyle, Teo,or Klahan are recommended as primary damage dealers due to their high damage output. Kagura and Eileene complement them well by providing strong damage buffs and applying Crowd Control effects to enemies.
Death Team
| Front | Front | Front | Front | Back |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Evan Rudy PlatinTank | Yui Alice LinaHealer | Eileene Kagura Yu ShinCrowd Control | Knox AquilaInflict Death Death Support | KrisInflict Death |
When using a Death Team, prioritize survivability over damage. The Death debuff will automatically defeat enemies after 3 turns or once they reach 2 stacks, making endurance the key to victory.
While Knox and Aquila can be used together, it’s generally better to choose one. Knox boosts Death Effect success rates for consistency, while Aquila enhances survivability with Link and shortens Death Turn count for faster clears.
Strategy & Tips
Crowd Control and Focus on Nia
Clearing Nightmare 10-30 largely depends on defeating Nia before she increases your team’s cooldowns. It’s best to reset the stage until both Nias are inflicted with a Crowd Control Effect early in the fight.
Immunities for One Wave

For Wave 2 of 10-30, having Death Immunity or Debuff Removal is crucial to prevent your team from being defeated by Kris’ Death Effect. Alternatively, Chloe can be used in Wave 1 to provide Shock Immunity, though the best strategy is still to burst down Nia quickly to stop her from using her skills.
Additional Effects

On top of the usual skill effects, enemies in Nightmare Mode will also have additional effects. Nia in Wave 2 can increase your team’s cooldowns by 120 seconds instead of 16. If this skill lands early in the battle, it’s best to restart the run.
Crowd Control is Effective

Enemies in 10-30 have varying Effect Resistance. In Wave 1, enemies have 0 Effect Resistance, allowing you to focus purely on survivability and damage. In contrast, Wave 2 enemies have a high 32% Effect Resistance, making it essential for your Crowd Control and Death heroes to have enough Effect Hit Rate to land their debuffs.
HP Alteration

Inflicting HP Alteration is an effective way to deal damage, as it sets enemies' HP to a fixed threshold, ignoring both their HP and defense. Platin stands out as a strong option for this role, serving as both a tank and a source of HP Alteration. This effect also ignores All Damage Immunity, allowing you to use this effect while the buff is active.
Platin Excels in 10-30

Platin’s HP Alteration skill targets the enemy with the most buffs, making it highly effective in Wave 1 since Nia usually has the most buffs from her shield.
Death Teams

If you have Kris, running a Death Team is a strong alternative. This setup lets you bypass enemy mechanics and stats entirely by instantly defeating them after 3 turns or once 2 stacks of Death are applied.

Enhance Hero Skills

Enhance your heroes' skills, prioritizing tanks and healers to boost their effectiveness and utility. Skill Enhancement materials can be obtained from Story Event rewards, the Shop, and the Infinite Tower.
Skill Enhancement GuideUse Protective Formation

Protective Formation is the recommended setup for Nightmare 10-30. At Level 20, it boosts Back Row heroes' Attack by 26% and grants Front Row supports and healers a 6.5% Defense increase. Other formations can also work but require more investments into your characters and gear.
Tips! | Make sure to enhance the formation level for increased back row and front row effect. The higher the Formation level, the better. |
|---|
Ultimate Enhance Your Team

If you have an Ultimate Enhancement Material, Leah, or spare Fusion fodder, it’s worth investing in adding a weapon slot to your strongest 6★ Legendary DPS or an armor slot to other team members. Nightmare 10-30 is extremely difficult without Ultimate Enhancements, so make sure your core heroes are at least fully enhanced to maximize their survivability and damage output.
Ultimate Enhancement GuideRuby Farm for Fusion Fodder
Once 14-1 or Nightmare 1-1 becomes available, players should begin Ruby Farming to gather enough fodder for fully Ultimate Enhancing their team. This greatly improves survivability and makes clearing stages much easier.
Ruby Farming GuideUse Skill Queue

Auto Skills offer convenience, but they don't always select the optimal skills in critical situations. It's best to use the Skill Queue to start with a buff, then monitor combat and manually activate skills as needed.
Tips! | Strategically, queue buffs first, such as 'Shield', then use priority skills manually to gain the upper hand. |
