Best Characters for Shadow Karma
Use Triple-Target Physical Attacks
Destructive Shadow Karma greatly reduces damage taken from attacks other than Physical and Triple-Target Attacks, so you must use Physical Damage Heroes with Triple-Target Attack skills.
Tips! | Be aware that Rachel's Skill 1 is a single-target attack until she reaches 6 Transcendences. |
|---|
Attack when Perseverance Stacks are Low

Shadow Karma's Defense increases with each stack of Perseverance he gains after using a skill. After using Skill 2 at 8 stacks, the Perseverance count resets. The main strategy is to attack when Perseverance stacks are low and prioritize buffs, debuffs, and healing when they are high.
Recommended Buffers & Debuffers
| Characters with Multiple Powerful Buffs | |||
|---|---|---|---|
Lina | Biscuit | Kagura | Black Rose |
| Physical Buffers | |||
Sieg | Yui | Dellons | Eileene |
May | | | |
| Defense Reduction | |||
Lina | Biscuit | Ace | Elysia |
Rachel | Chancellor | Feng Yan | |
| Physical Vulnerability Debuffs | |||
Taka | Rachel | Ace | Kagura |
May | Catty | | |
Buffs and debuffs of the same type don’t stack, so try to build your team with a good balance to avoid overlaps. However, there’s an exception — buffs of the same type do stack if they come from an active skill and a passive skill, so it’s fine to have both on the same team.
Focus on Survivability at High Perseverance
After your attackers have finished their rotation and before Shadow Karma's Perseverance resets, set the stage with HP Heal, buffs, and debuffs. For healers, Lina, who can also increase damage dealt, and Yui, who can increase Physical damage dealt at Transcendence 2, are especially recommended.
Best Team Setup Examples for Shadow Karma
Sample Team 1
B: Back row / F: Front row
| B | Taka | - Increases Physical Damage Taken - Main DPS |
|---|---|---|
| B | Feng Yan | - Defense Reduction (Skill 1) - Sub-DPS |
| F | Ace Elysia Vanessa | - Defense Reduction (Passive) - Physical Vulnerability (Ace) Suggested heroes are flexible and can be adjusted as needed. The main priority is to include a source of Defense Reduction from a passive skill. |
| F | Lina Alice Yui | - Healer - Physical Damage Boost (Yui) - Damage Boost (Lina) - Defense Reduction (Lina) - Crit Damage Boost (Lina) Both Yui and Lina are excellent options for providing healing and offensive buffs. The choice between them depends on which damage buffer you assign to each team, since you want to avoid overlapping buffs. Alice, on the other hand, is a pure healer who offers strong sustain but provides no offensive buffs. |
| F | Sieg Dellons Eileene Catty | - Physical Attack Boost (Eileen, Catty, and Sieg) - Physical Damage Boost (Dellons) - Damage Reduction (Sieg) The choice of Damage Buffer will depend heavily on the buffs your team already has. Avoiding overlapping buffs is important so you can maximize your overall damage output. |
To achieve a high score, the key is how quickly you can deal 1M damage to Karma and finish Round 1. That's why Team 1 is composed of characters who can provide Critical Damage, Defense Reduction, and Physical Vulnerability.
Sample Team 1 Skill Order
| 1-3 | 1. (Debuffer/Buffer) Skill 2. Taka Skill 1 3. Feng Yan Skill 2 |
|---|---|
| 4-5 | 4. Taka Skill 1 5. Feng Yan Skill 1 |
Tips! | After completing the skill rotation above, Karma will typically have around 5-6 Perseverance stacks. It is best to hold any major damage skills until the stacks have fully reset. |
|---|
Sample Team 2
B: Back row / F: Front row
| B | Bi Dam | - Main DPS |
|---|---|---|
| B | Rachel | - Weakness Hit Chance Boost - Physical Vulnerability and Defense Reduction - All Attack and Damage Reduction - Sub-DPS (T6) Rachel requires Transcendence 6 to perform well as a Sub DPS. Before reaching Transcendence 6 she functions as a capable Debuffer who provides essential debuffs for the team. |
| F | Biscuit | - Buff Removal - Boss Damage Boost (Skill 1) - Weakness Hit Chance Boost (Skill 1) - Defense Reduction (Passive) |
Round 2 follows the same flow as Round 1. Prioritize dealing damage when Perseverance stacks are low, and focus on applying debuffs and healing when the stacks are high.
Sample Team 2 Skill Order
| 1-3 | 1. (Debuffer/Buffer) Skill 2. (Debuffer/Buffer) Skill |
|---|---|
| 4 | 3. Bi Dam Skill 1 4. Bi Dam Skill 2 |
