Advent Expedition Karma Strategy Tips

Attack While Endurance Stacks Are Low

perseverance stacks

Karma's defense rises via Endurance with each skill use. After dealing bonus damage by using Skill 2 at 8 Endurance stacks, the stack count resets, so the basic strategy is to attack when Endurance stacks are low and prioritize buffs, debuffs, and healing when stacks are high.

Boost Your Damage with Buffs/Debuffs

Start by applying damage buffs and defense debuffs to strengthen your allies and weaken the enemy. It is recommended to use skills with longer effect durations first.

Chip Away HP with 3-Target Physical Attackers

2 or More of the Following

Feng YanFeng YanJinJin

Once buffs and debuffs are sufficiently applied, use attackers to chip away HP. Shadow Karma reduces Magic damage and damage from skills that hit 1–2 or 4–5 targets, so 3-target physical attacks are effective. Taka and Ryan are recommended, with rare Feng Yan as a secondary option.

TipsTips!Note that Rachel's Skill 1 is a single-target attack until T6.

Wait with HP Heals When Endurance Stacks Increase

After the attackers have finished their round of attacks, use HP heals, buffs, and debuffs to set up for the field until Shadow Karma's Endurance resets. For healers, Lina, who can also increase damage dealt, and Heavenia, who can provide physical damage buffs and defense debuffs, are especially recommended.

Round 2 Begins with Remaining Turns

If you defeat Shadow Karma in Round 1 within the 70-turn limit, Round 2 begins with the remaining turns. The strategy is the same, but since you use a different party for each round, you need to prepare two similarly oriented parties.

Using Your Stronger Party in Round 1 Is Also an Option

The enemy level is higher in Round 2, but it is pointless if you cannot clear Round 1. If clearing Round 1 is difficult, use your stronger party in Round 1 and make your first goal clearing Round 1 within the time limit.

TipsTips!Only once you can clear Round 1 early with your sub-party will you be able to use your stronger party in Round 2 to push for a higher score.

Advance Hero Development with Ultimate Enhancement and Transcendence

Clearing Round 1 requires progression through ultimate enhancement, transcendence, skill enhancement, and other development. In particular, prioritizing the ultimate enhancement and skill enhancement of attackers makes it easy to significantly boost damage output and is highly recommended.

3-Target DMG (Up) PS

This is a main party example that is easy to stabilize thanks to Lina and Heavenia's healing while also dealing solid damage. Rachel/Heavenia/Ryan each have 3-target attack skills, making it easy to take advantage of the 3-target attack skill damage boost effect — a great bonus.

PHY DMG Taken (Down) PS

This is a sub party example with Bi Dam and Taka placed in the back row. Guan Yu can apply continuous healing, but aim to push through with raw damage for an early clear. If that is difficult, consider swapping Guan Yu or Lu Bu for Lina, Heavenia, or Xiao.

TipsTips! You can also limit attackers to just one — either Bi Dam or Taka — and add more damage support heroes such as Fai or Sieg.
