Spike is also a hero who can inflict Freeze, but he has a passive skill that provides an Attack Boost-Based Max HP, and the Paladin set is recommended for him over the Vanguard set, so he is not listed here.
Shock Inflicting Heroes

Shock can also deal additional damage based on Attack, so if you want to increase your damage output, Vanguard is a good choice. If you want to focus on stopping enemy movement, use the Spellweaver set for its Effect Hit Rate increase.

The damage dealt when Petrify is removed also scales with Attack. Use Vanguard if you want to increase damage dealt, and use the Spellweaver set for its Effect Hit Rate increase if you want to stop enemy movement.
Also Effective for Drawing Kyle's Eyes of the Strong
Kyle possesses "Eyes of the Strong," which causes him to prioritize attacking the enemy with the highest Attack. The Vanguard equipment set is also useful when you want to draw Kyle's Eyes of the Strong to a hero other than your main Back Row attacker.
Recommended Main Stats
Recommended Main Stats for Weapons
All Attack (%) is Most Recommended
When using the Vanguard set, you'll almost always want to increase Attack, so All Attack (%) is the most recommended Main Stat. Flat All Attack UP is also a viable alternative.
Effect Hit Rate is Also a Good Secondary Option
If you want to increase the application rate of status effects rather than their damage, having Effect Hit Rate UP as a Main Stat is also an option. However, for damage over time, it is more recommended to increase the damage after application rather than increasing the chances of applying it.
Crit Rate is OK for High-Damage Heroes
For heroes like Fai and Rachel, who have high damage output and can attack with sources other than status effects, having a Crit Rate UP Main Stat is also a viable option.
Recommended Main Stats for Armor
All Attack (%) is Also Most Recommended for Armor
Just like with weapons, All Attack (%) is the most recommended Main Stat for Armor. Flat All Attack UP is also a viable alternative.
Block Rate UP is an Option to Increase Durability
If you have to settle for a different Main Stat due to Substats or the number of equipment pieces you own, increasing durability with Block Rate UP is also an option. This is especially effective for glass cannon heroes with low durability.
Recommended Substats
Speed is the Top Priority for PvP
This applies to all equipment sets, not just Vanguard, but when used in PvP, Speed is the top priority for Substats. This is because having a higher total party Speed than your opponent allows you to take the first turn, which is a huge advantage.

All Attack (%) UP is Recommended
For Vanguard Substats, All Attack (%) UP is the most recommended. Flat All Attack UP is also useful as a secondary option.
Effect Hit Rate UP is Also a Plus
If equipping on a status effect attacker, it's recommended to increase the status effect application rate with Effect Hit Rate from Substats.
Crit or Weakness Hit for High-Damage Dealers
For high-damage heroes like Fai and Rachel, increasing Crit Rate, Crit Damage, or Weakness Hit Chance via Substats is also effective.
Substats that Match Passives are Also Good
Like Colt, who has an Attack Boost proportional to her Speed, Substats that align with a passive skill's effect are also a high priority.

There are three types of Vanguard Raid Equipment: "Dragon Slayer," "Dragon Orb," and "Dragon Scale Armor," which can be obtained from the Destroyer Gaze Raid. There are also versions with Bounty Tracker and Paladin Set Effects.

Vanguard's Four Lords of Old Equipment can be obtained randomly from equipment boxes as a defeat reward for Teo or Yeonhee in the Advent Expedition. The stat increase effects are the same as Raid Equipment, but their special feature is that they always come with offensive Main/Substats.

Seven Knights Equipment was previously available in the Topaz exchange shop. Their special feature is that All Attack (%) is included in their stat increase effects, which makes them highly compatible with the Vanguard Set Effect.

Vanguard's Common Equipment sometimes drops when clearing Adventures. It is easy to use for powering up your damage in the early game, but it's standard practice to transition to Raid Equipment once you can challenge Raids.
