A High-Durability Team That Outlasts Enemies With Healing

The Tank and Sustain Team consists of Universal, Defense, and Support-type heroes. The concept is to leverage high durability and outlast the enemy by healing through damage.

Tends to Be Strong Against Physical Teams, Weak Against Magic Teams

It tends to be hard to take down and holds the advantage against Physical Teams that attack with raw firepower, but is at a disadvantage against Magic Teams that ignore durability and attack with Special Attacks. That said, thanks to the recent introduction of Dedicated Equipment effects like Resilience and Rejuvenate, it's becoming close to even against Magic Teams as well.

Status Ailment Teams Exist as a Variant

As a variant of the Tank and Sustain Team, there are also Status Ailment Teams that fight by locking down enemies with effects like Petrify or Extreme Chill. However, there are now many heroes with Debuff Countermeasures, starting with Elysia, making it harder to win purely by specializing in status ailments.

For Block Rate, Go With Karam

Karam can grant Block Rate Boost and Damage Resistance, making it the best pet for heroes that rely heavily on Block Rate, such as Aris. It becomes even more useful when paired with Rudy, since the Damage Resistance effect also stacks.

Ruu Pairs Especially Well With Radgrid

Ruu can significantly boost Defense, making it the best pick when you want to further reinforce Radgrid's Healing and Barrier durability. You'll be able to hold up better against both Physical and Magic opponents.

For Debuff Countermeasures, Go With Pike

Pike can raise Defense and Effect Resistance, making it the best choice when you specifically want Debuff Countermeasures. It's a solid option if your team is short on Debuff Removal heroes, or if you want to counter status ailments such as Skuld's Cooldown Increase or Death.

For a Healing-Focused Team, Go With Jeb

Jeb can grant Incoming Healing Boost and Damage Resistance, making it useful when you want to boost the healing output of heroes like Clemyth or Radgrid. That said, in the current meta, surviving enemy attacks matters more, so Karam and Ruu take priority over it.

For a Debuff-Focused Offense, Go With Merparrow

For a pure Tank and Sustain Team, boosting durability with Karam or Ruu is the better choice, but when your strategy revolves around debuffs like Death, Merparrow is useful thanks to its Effect Probability and Effect Hit Rate Boost.
