Melia's additional effects depend on the number of Magic heroes in the party, so you'll want to use her in a party with at least 3 Magic heroes. While team composition flexibility is reduced, the effects with a full 5-hero setup are extremely powerful.

Reduce Required Hits for Crystal Cluster with Skill 1

Crystal Cluster explodes when the afflicted enemy takes 4 or 6 hits, dealing powerful Fixed Damage + Cooldown Increase. Using Skill 1 triggers Crystal Resonance, reducing the required hit count for the explosion by 4, so it is recommended to use Skill 2 → Skill 1 in that order.

Extremely High Defense and HP

Melia boasts extremely high base Defense and HP due to Physical Enhancement - Crystal Dragon, and at 2 Transcendence, she can inflict Taunt to fulfill a tank role. Since her base stats are high, equipment options for Defense (%) and HP (%) are highly effective.

Melia's additional effects change based on the number of Magic-type heroes in the party, making her a hero you'll want to use in a party with at least 3 Magic-types. While it limits team flexibility, her effects when used in a 5-member Magic-type team are extremely powerful.

Skill 1 Reduces Hits Required for Crystal Cluster Detonation

Crystal Cluster is a powerful effect that detonates after the target takes 4 or 6 hits, dealing Fixed Damage and Cooldown Increase. Using Skill 1 triggers Crystal Resonance, reducing the hits required for detonation by 4. Therefore, it is recommended to use Skill 2 followed by Skill 1.

Very High Defense and HP

Thanks to Physical Enhancement - Crystal Dragon, her base Defense and HP are exceptionally high. At Transcendence level 2, she gains Taunt and can fulfill a tank-like role. Due to her high base stats, Defense (%) and HP (%) equipment options are highly effective.

No Offensive Options Against Debuff Counters

Since she has no offensive methods other than Crystal Cluster, her lack of options against opponents with high Effect Resistance or Debuff Removal is a weakness. Also, note that her Magic-type formation requirements restrict team composition flexibility.

Attack with HP Alteration/Swap or Death

Melia has high HP and Defense, so it is effective to whittle down her HP with HP Alteration from Freyja or Randgrid, or HP Swap from Pallanus. Attacking with Death, which can incapacitate a hero while completely ignoring durability, is also a viable counter.

In magic mirror matches, Melia vs. Melia showdowns often drag on, so equipping a Death Ring is also effective.

Counter Debuffs

As long as Crystal Cluster is not detonated, you can avoid taking Fixed Damage or Cooldown Increase. Raising Effect Resistance to prevent Crystal Cluster from being applied, or using Debuff Removal to clear it before it detonates, is also recommended.

Barrier generation or the Ring of Death are also OK

Because her base durability is high even without a Legendary Ring, the Ring of Health, which allows for barrier generation based on Max HP, or the Ring of Death are also effective. Consider these depending on what rings you have available.
