Shinobu KochoShinobu Kocho- For those who want a Magic Attacker/Support
- Worth pulling if you're building a Magic Team for PvP

Tanjiro Kamado and Zenitsu Agatsuma are recommended for Physical Teams, Giyu Tomioka for Durability Teams, and Shinobu Kocho for Magic Teams, so decide who to pull based on the team you want to use in PvP.

If you're unsure, the highly versatile Tanjiro Kamado is recommended. Once you've taken Tanjiro Kamado to 6th Transcendence, we recommend moving on to Transcendence for Zenitsu Agatsuma, who pairs well with him.

Pull for Tanjiro Kamado If You Want to Strengthen a Physical Team

Tanjiro Kamado

Tanjiro Kamado is a Physical Attacker who's useful in both PvP and PvE. His "Transparent World," which grants 100% Weakness Hit Chance and All Attack Pierce, is powerful, and he's a great pick if you want to strengthen a Physical Team or want a highly versatile Hero.

6th Transcendence Effect is Powerful

At 2nd Transcendence, the number of extra hits triggered when an enemy is defeated increases from 1 to 2, and at 6th Transcendence, Transparent World becomes permanently active. Being able to completely ignore Damage Immunity with Pierce attacks at all times is extremely powerful, so 6th Transcendence is ideal for PvP use.

Only Obtainable During the Collab Period

Tanjiro Kamado is only obtainable during the Demon Slayer collab period, and will no longer be available once the collab ends. Keep in mind that you'll need to aim for 6th Transcendence during the collab period if that's your goal. Note that you're guaranteed to get one copy through the collab login event.

Tanjiro Kamado (Awakening) - Rating & Skills

Zenitsu Agatsuma is Ideal for Those Wanting a Strong PvP Attacker

Zenitsu Agatsuma

Zenitsu Agatsuma is a Physical Attacker whose Ignore Defense, multiple activations, and Execution make him powerful. His Execution skill, which can target the 2 enemies with the highest Attack, is excellent for countering Sunran, who's common in the PvP meta, Tanjiro Kamado, who has Indomitable, and Dongyoung, making him a great pick for anyone wanting a strong PvP Attacker.

TipsTips!Tanjiro Kamado is more versatile, but Zenitsu Agatsuma is the one who can counter him in PvP, so Zenitsu Agatsuma is the better pick if PvP is your priority.

2nd Transcendence is a High Priority

At 2nd Transcendence, Debuff Removal grants Cooldown Reduction and generates a Barrier, and at 6th Transcendence, a Shock effect is added. Since 2nd Transcendence excellently strengthens both offense and durability, it's a Transcendence level worth aiming for.

If pairing with Eileene in PvP, 6th Transcendence is ideal.

Only Obtainable During the Collab Period

Zenitsu Agatsuma is also only obtainable during the Demon Slayer collab period, and will no longer be available once the collab ends. Keep in mind that you'll need to aim for 6th Transcendence during the collab period if that's your goal. Note that you're guaranteed to get one copy on Day 3 of the collab login event.

Zenitsu Agatsuma (Awakening) - Rating & Skills

Giyu Tomioka Expands Your Durability Options

Giyu Tomioka

Giyu Tomioka has high durability and excels at protecting Universal-type allies, expanding your options when building Durability Teams. He's also useful if you want to run a team of 3 Universal-type Heroes in Guild War, so he's recommended for players focused on Total War or Guild War.

2nd Transcendence is a High Priority

At 2nd Transcendence, all of his attacks gain 100% Weakness Hit Chance, and at 6th Transcendence, he gains a Damage Dealt UP effect each time any attack is activated. 2nd Transcendence gives you more freedom with equipment and can also help counter Miss, so it's well worth aiming for.

Giyu Tomioka Rating | Demon Slayer Collab

Pull for Shinobu Kocho If You Want to Strengthen a Magic Team

Shinobu Kocho

Shinobu Kocho is a Magic Attacker who fights with Deadly Poison and Crits. She pairs well with the existing Hero Dongyoung, making her a great pick for players who use Magic Teams in PvP.

With two single-target skills, she shines even more in Guild War, so she's also a good fit for players focused on Guild War.

Shinobu Kocho Rating | Demon Slayer Collab

Transcendence is a High Priority

At 2nd Transcendence, her Crit Rate becomes 100%, and at 6th Transcendence, Toxic Build-Up stacks 3 times at the start of battle and upon Revive. This increases both her equipment flexibility and damage output while making it easier to trigger her Awakening Skill's additional effects, so aim for at least 2nd Transcendence, and ideally 6th Transcendence for PvP.

Shinobu Kocho is a magic attacker who utilizes poison and critical hits, this character excels primarily in magic-based PvP teams. With two single-target attack skills, they are particularly effective in guild battles.

Tanjiro Kamado's Impact on the Meta

Physical Teams Get a Boost

Beyond being an excellent Attacker, he can also support Attack-type allies with a Delayed Buff and a Physical Attack Reduction passive, boosting both damage and durability. Using him alongside Zenitsu Agatsuma in a Physical Team will strengthen your Physical Team even further.

Damage Immunity Heroes Are at a Disadvantage

Since Transparent World turns all of his attacks into Pierce attacks, heroes with Damage Immunity need to watch out. In the current meta, this includes Eileene's on-revive effect, Hayeon's Skill 2, and Dongyoung's passive.

Also an Option for Advent Expedition

With a Physical Attack Reduction passive, the ability to grant a 2-turn Physical Attack Boost via Delayed Buff, and a 3-target attack skill, he's also a viable pick for PvE content where 3-target Physical attacks are effective, such as Advent Expedition Karma.

Shadow Karma (Advent Expedition) Guide - Best Teams & How to Beat

Zenitsu Agatsuma's Impact on the Meta

Strengthens Physical Teams Alongside Tanjiro Kamado

As a powerful Attack-type Attacker, his Shock also pairs well with Eileene, making him a great pick for Physical Teams in PvP. He's expected to be used alongside Tanjiro Kamado, which should significantly strengthen Physical Teams.

Strong Meta Fit, Especially Powerful in Guild War

His Execution skill, which can target the 2 enemies with the highest Attack, lets him go after Sunran, and he's also strong against Indomitable-holder Tanjiro Kamado and Dongyoung — all signs of a strong meta fit. He should be especially active in 3v3 Guild War.

Guild War Guide | Schedule and Strategy Tips

Giyu Tomioka's Impact on the Meta

More Options for Durability Teams

As a high-durability Universal-type Hero who can protect other Universal-types, Giyu Tomioka is well suited to Durability Teams. He works well in existing Durability Teams, but another big advantage is that he lets you build an additional Universal-type-centered Durability Team for Total War and Guild War.

Great Synergy with Aris

When hit by 4 attacks, he increases allies' Awakening Gauge by 10. Since this extends her Awakening Passive duration, he pairs exceptionally well with Aris. He's a Hero you'll want to include in any team that uses Aris.

Makes It Easier to Counter Cooldown Increase

He's the first Hero with Cooldown Increase Immunity. Although it only lasts 3 turns, it's highly effective against the opening Cooldown Increase from Skuld. He's expected to see use as a Skuld counter in Guild War.

Shinobu Kocho's Impact on the Meta

Magic Teams Get a Boost

She has Deadly Poison and Incoming Healing Reduction, and pairs exceptionally well with Dongyoung, who has the same effects, including Effect Resist Reduction. Using them together can nearly nullify enemy healing, which should make Magic Teams even stronger against Durability Teams.

Also Counters Damage Nullification, Which Is Common in the Meta

With Deadly Poison damage, the 6-hit Skill 2, and her 3-hit Awakening Skill, she excels at dealing damage multiple times, making her an excellent counter to the Damage Nullification Heroes common in the current meta. She should also come in handy for clearing Infinite Trials 4F.

Camouflage Also Counters Cooldown Increase and Status Effects

While Camouflage is active at the start of battle and upon Revive, she is unaffected by debuffs such as Cooldown Increase and status effects. This makes her useful against debuff Heroes common in the current meta, such as the Cooldown Increase from Skuld and the Shock from Eileene.

Tanjiro Kamado's Team Setup and Alternatives

Best Paired with Attack-Type Heroes

Since Tanjiro Kamado has an effect that supports Attack-type allies, he's best paired with Attack-type Heroes. His Effect Hit Rate Boost passive also pairs well with Zenitsu Agatsuma, who has Shock.

Alternative Hero: Dellons

Dellons

Dellons has similar performance in that he has Pierce attacks, can grant Damage Nullification to allies, and has a single-target 5-hit attack skill with Cooldown Reset that can trigger multiple times. However, Tanjiro Kamado is currently the only Hero with an always-active Pierce effect.

Dellons Rating

Zenitsu Agatsuma's Team Setup and Alternatives

Best for Physical Teams

Since he has an Attack-type Crit Rate Boost passive, he's best paired with Attack-type Heroes, just like Tanjiro Kamado. Eileene, who has a Shock Probability Boost passive, also pairs well with him.

Alternative Heroes: Lu Bu and Dellons

Lu Bu

In terms of being an Ignore Defense Physical Attacker, Lu Bu can be considered an alternative. Dellons can also work as an alternative with his Execution skill, but Zenitsu Agatsuma's strength lies in being able to target the 2 enemies with the highest Attack.

Giyu Tomioka's Team Setup and Alternatives

Best Paired with Universal-Type Heroes

Best Hero Pairings for Giyu Tomioka

Since he excels at protecting Universal-type Heroes, use him together with Universal-type Heroes. Pairing him with Aris is especially recommended, as his Awakening Gauge boost synergizes well with her.

Alternative Hero: Radgrid

Radgrid

Radgrid, who has Protection to take damage in place of back-row Universal-type Heroes, can be considered an alternative. However, unlike Radgrid, who is a Defense-type, Giyu Tomioka's strength is that he can meet Universal-type team requirements.

Shinobu Kocho's Team Setup and Alternatives

Best for Magic Teams

Shinobu Kocho doesn't have Magic-type team requirements, but she's generally best used in Magic Teams. She synergizes especially well with Dongyoung, who has Deadly Poison and Incoming Healing Reduction.

Alternative Hero: Dongyoung

Dongyoung (Awakening)

Dongyoung, who can inflict Deadly Poison and Incoming Healing Reduction, can also be considered an alternative. However, as mentioned above, the two pair well with each other, so it's better to use them together rather than swap one for the other.
