Should You Pull for Hayeon and Velika?

Pull for Sustain Teams or Versatility

As a highly versatile support hero, Hayeon naturally fits Sustain Teams, and thanks to Ally Role Support, she also has room to be used in Physical or Magic Teams. If you're running a Sustain Team or want a highly versatile support hero, it's worth pulling for her.

Excellent Transcendence Effects

At Transcendence 2, she gains a passive that generates a Barrier for allies when her HP drops below 50%, and at Transcendence 6, she gains a passive that reduces the Attack of all Attack/Magic-type enemies and the Defense of all Defense/Support/Universal-type enemies. Both effects are excellent, so it's best to push her Transcendence as far as possible.

This Banner Runs for About a Month

Hayeon's pickup summon runs for about a month, until the maintenance before October 1st (Thursday). Since this banner lasts longer than usual, you can take your time deciding whether to pull.

Velika for Tower Content

Velika can now be used in the Infinite Tower even on floors with type restrictions, and her Attacker performance has improved with Ignore Defense, Pierce, and HP Alteration. If you're stuck on a specific Infinite Tower floor, pulling for her is also an option.

Transcendence 2 Is a High Priority

At Transcendence 2, her Barrier durability increases and she gains a Barrier-generation effect when her HP drops below 50%, and at Transcendence 6, she gains a Silence effect. Since her durability is on the lower side, getting at least Transcendence 2 is better for improved survivability.

Tips!	Compared to Legendary Special heroes, you have more chances to obtain her, so it's also fine to skip pulling if you'd rather not force it.

Pulling on the New Breeze Festa Festival Gacha Is Also an Option

The New Breeze Festa Festival Select Summon offers a high chance of obtaining one of Sunran, Yoongun, or Dongyoung. Transcendence priority goes Yoongun > Sunran > Dongyoung = Hayeon, so prioritizing the New Breeze Festa Festival gacha is also an option.

Tips!	All of the heroes above are strong, so aiming for Transcendence 2 on all of them is a great goal.

Hayeon is a highly versatile support hero with several excellent effects, including Buff/Debuff support, Damage Immunity, Cooldown Increase & Cooldown Reduction, and Cover. With Ally Role Support, she can be treated as an Attack- or Magic-type hero for team building, so she can perform well in Physical- or Magic-focused teams too.

With Tower's Benevolence, Velika is the only hero who can ignore role restrictions when forming a team in the Infinite Tower. In the Infinite Tower/Tower of Trial, she also deals bonus damage, applies Buff Duration Reduction to enemies, and boosts allies' Damage dealt/Crit Damage, making her a hero specialized for tower content.

Hayeon's Impact on the Current Meta

Sustain Teams Get Stronger

Hayeon's team-wide Damage Immunity, Continuous Healing and Barrier generation are especially strong for Sustain Teams. Her Bleed application also pairs well with Radgrid, so using them together is a great combo.

Also an Option for Physical or Magic Teams

Since Ally Role Support lets her be treated as an Attack- or Magic-type hero, she's also an option for Physical or Magic Teams. Her Cover and Cooldown Reduction are powerful, letting her increase the attack chances of strong Attackers like Yoongun.

Buff/Debuff Duration Increase Can Be Powerful Depending on How You Use It

Hayeon can extend Buff and Debuff durations, and depending on the combination, this can be extremely useful for extending Immortality duration, extending the duration of Sunran's Upper Hand buff, or extending the duration of Dongyoung's Deadly Poison or Fear.

Velika's Impact on the Meta

Role-Restricted Infinite Tower Floors Become Easier

Velika can now be used even on Infinite Tower floors with type restrictions. This should make it easier to progress through floors that were previously difficult due to Support- or Defense-type formation restrictions.

Losing Basic Attack Cooldown Reduction Is a Downside

Velika used to grant allies Cooldown Reduction on Basic Attack in the tower, but that effect has been removed. Because of this, if you were clearing certain Tower of Trial floors by relying on that Cooldown Reduction, you may need to rework your team.

No Longer Viable for the Earth Dungeon via Burn

This update also removed her Burn effect. If you were using Velika to clear the Earth Dungeon, switch to a different Burn hero instead.

As a highly versatile support hero, Hayeon can pair with PvP heroes from Sustain, Physical, or Magic Teams. She works especially well with Sustain Teams, but she's also worth trying out with Physical or Magic Teams.

Alternative Heroes: Clemyth and Pallanus

As alternatives, Clemyth stands out as a highly capable support, while Pallanus offers a similar HP Swap effect. That said, Hayeon doesn't have Clemyth's Revive skill or Pallanus's damage output, so think carefully before swapping her out.

Velika's Best Team and Alternative Heroes

Where You Use Her Matters More Than Who She's Paired With

For Velika, where you use her matters more than who you pair her with. Choose your other teammates based on the traits of each floor.

Alternative Hero: Cha-Hae-In

Another hero who shines in tower content is Cha-Hae-In, a hero from a past collaboration event. Since Velika no longer grants allies Cooldown Reduction, Shizuku may see more use as a result, but she was only obtainable during her collaboration period and can't be acquired anymore.
