Roll To Get Rid Of Blast Status Effect

When the Dodogama hits you with its lava attacks and rocks or you step into its magma pool, roll to get rid of the Blast status effect. This prevents you from getting too heavily damaged from explosive attacks.

Attack Head When Mouth Is Red To Trigger Explosion

When the Dodogama eats rocks and its mouth is full & red, it's best to attack its head. If enough damage is dealt, this will trigger an explosion that will deal really heavy damage on the monster.

Focus On Head & Tail To Deal Heavy Damage

The Dodogama's weak spots are its head and tail. Focus your hits on these parts to finish the monster & hunt quickly and efficiently.

Dodogama - Moves & Counters

Side Roll Over Rolls around and over on its side. Move backwards to keep from getting hit.
Spits Magma Spits magma balls from its mouth. Follow the trajectory and dodge away when magma almost hits you.
Lava Pool Spits up a pool of magma. Don't step on lava pool to avoid getting Blastblight.

The Dodogama does a rush attack when it lowers its head onto the ground and moves towards you. You can easily move to the side to avoid getting run over by this move.

When the Dodogama starts eating rocks, it'll spew magma balls towards you more often. Follow the trajectory of the magma balls to know which direction to stay away from when he spits them out.

Spits Lava Pool That Inflicts Blastblight

The Dodogama also spits out a lava pool within a small range. Don't step foot on it or you'll be inflicted with Blastblight which can deal heavy damage when you're hit by an explosive attack.
