Apex Mizutsune - Hunting Guide & Tips
1 | Bring Nulberries to cure Waterblight |
---|---|
2 | Avoid being hit by Apex Bubbles |
3 | Apex Mizutsune can be knocked down when enraged |
4 | Hit the Head to deal more damage |
5 | Be careful of his Tail Slam |
6 | Attack him when in fatigue |
Bring Nulberries To Cure Waterblight
You will be in a Waterblight state when being hit by Apex Mizutsune's Water Breath which will decrease your stamina recovery. Bringing Nulberries and using it when in Waterblight state will help you normalize your stamina recovery especially for Stamina-Based Skill use like Dual Blade Users.
Avoid Being Hit By Apex Bubbles
How to Recover | ・ Sprinting ・ Evade 3 times ・ Using Deodorant ・ Using Antidobra |
---|
Apex Mizutsune's Apex Bubbles may cause Hellfireblight when being hit, which will explode after a certain period of time. If you get hit by the Apex Bubbles, make sure to cancel it by using one of the above countermeasures.
Using Hellfire Cloak also helps in decreasing the damage taken from dealing with Hellfireblight. So we suggest equipping gears or decoration with this skill when fighting Apex Mizutsune.
Can Be Knocked Down When Enraged
You can knock an enraged Apex Mizutsune by dealing with enough damage that can return him to his Normal state. You may also notice that he is enraged when you see that there's a Demon Fire Effect glowing from his tail.
Hit The Head To Deal More Damage
Apex Mizutsune's weak spot for Blade & Blunt Weapon Users is the Head, so make sure to aim for the head to deal with more damage.
Bowgun and Bow Users can also deal damage to Apex Mizutsune if you try to hit him on the Dorsal Fin.
Be Careful Of His Tail Slam
Tail slamming is one of the attacks that you should be careful of because of its high damage. After slamming, it releases countless small bubbles, so make sure to evade those attacks.
Attack Him When In Fatigue State
You will notice the state of fatigue when Apex Mizutsune drools and the back fin turned blue. During fatigue, a big gap is created, such as falling after a rush and taking a rigid motion such as shortness of breath. Use this opportunity to deal more damage.
