Gun Runner Map Layout
Abandoned Train Yard
Gun Runner is an abandoned train yard map. This map features several tight spaces thanks to the buildings which you can enter. There are also several train cars which you can pass through, allowing you to flank unsuspecting enemies.
Small Buildings Allow For Close Encounters
The size of the buildings in the train yard are not that large. Entering these buildings will put you in tight spaces. Be ready for close quarters combat if you ever meet an enemy.
Access Upper Floors To Gain High Ground
Some building's roofs and upper floors can be accessed by you in order to gain upper ground. However, these roofs do not provide much cover, and will expose you to the enemy.
Some Buildings Are Interconnected
Some of the buildings on this map may be connected to each other. You can pass through small vents and passageways to sneakily get to the next building without being noticed.

Geographical Tips
Weave In and Out of Cover
This map has several narrow and tight spaces for you to use. Weave in and out of cover as you traverse the map in order to give enemies a much harder time locking you down.
Avoid Getting On Top of Structures
Besides getting the height advantage, there is not much incentive for you to move to the upper floors of buildings or to the top of train cars. These have little to no cover and will expose you to the enemy.
Mount Your Weapon On Obstacles
Due to the close quarters nature of the map, it would be helpful to use the different covers as a mounting point for your gun. This way, you can scout for enemies while at the same time keep yourself from being too exposed!

Since there are several buildings in this map, you can set up shop at one of the entrances of the building that sees the most activity. Use the doorway as a chokepoint to kill enemies as they enter the building one by one.
Loadout Tips
Use Close to Mid Range Weapons
Close to mid range weapons are ideal in this map. Several encounters will happen inside buildings or by the train ride. With weapons effective at closer ranges, you will be able to quickly kill enemies that cross your path!

Lethals that sit and lie and wait for enemies to pass by are excellent when placed in the small rooms of buildings. Make sure to place them in inconspicuous areas such as behind doorways or near corners!

Tacticals that support you and your team are recommended for this map. These include tacticals that locate enemies such as the Heartbeat Sensor, Snapshot Grenade, and tacticals that keep you alive such as the Stim.

Support killstreaks such as the UAV and the Counter UAV will be very useful in this map since there are several potential blind spots. Pinpoint the enemy's exact locations and avoid being ambushed at certain blind spots!
