The Ecological Research Facility is a place in Astera where you can study the different monsters of the new world in better detail. The better your research level of a specific monster, the more information you can gather from it!

Collect Monster Tracks & Clues

You will be able to raise the research level of a monster by finding and collecting their tracks and clues of there whereabouts when out exploring! It is much faster to raise the research level by collecting Monster tracks than defeating it.

Benefits of Raising Research Levels

Earn Trophy by Maxing Out Research Levels

If you max out all of the Research Levels of all the monsters, you will be able to earn the trophy / achievement "Monster PhD".

Research Level Affects Scoutfly & Monster Guide Level

The performance of your Scoutflies and Monster Guide increases the higher your Research Level for that specific monster is.

You can check out the level of your Scoutflies and how well they will be able to track each monster. Each level will unlock a way for your Scoutflies to help you better track the monster.

The Ecological Research facility will also show you the progress of your investigations per monster. These will also show you where you will be able to collect more tracks and clues so be sure to check back when investigating monsters!

The Ecological Research will also allow you to look up your progress for Monster Research Levels. Generally, Monsters will have 6 levels (except for a select few). You will also be able to confirm different weak spots of monsters here!
