What are Status Effects & Blights?

An Effect That Triggers Under Certain Conditions

A hunter or monster may experience status effects or blights when they are hit by certain attacks. Hunters and monsters may also receive some status effects when they step on certain areas of the map.

Learn How to Cure Status Effects & Blights

When a status effect is applied to you, it is best to cure it as soon as possible by consuming specific items. Despite some of the status effects wearing off after a certain amount of time has passed, it would be dangerous to leave a status effect untreated.

You Can Apply Status Effects to Monsters

Hunters are also able to apply status effects on monsters by using elemental attacks. When a Monster is hit with a status effect, it makes hunting it a bit easier. However, make sure that the monster you are hitting is not resistant to your elemental attacks.

Resist Status Effects & Blights With Armor & Skills

Status effects can also be resisted with various armors and skills. If the monster your hunting is known to have several elemental attacks, equip yourself with armors and skills that resist those elemental attacks.
