Use Flash Pod When Before It Bomb Dives

Using a Flash Pod to drop the Bazelgeuse as it bomb dives towards a random Hunter will leave it vulnerable for attack. This will also not ignite the bombs it dropped on its war path.

Open For Attack After Dive Bomb

If you weren't able to Flash Pod the Bazelgeuse before it dive bombs, keep your distance then close in when it lands. It will be open for hits due to its heavy crach onto the ground.

Keep Distance When It Glows Red

Keep Distance When It Glows Red

When the Bazelgeuse is enraged and the bomb pods on its body glow red, it will deal more devastating attacks. Hitting it will make it drop bombs that are already ignited, giving you close to no time to dodge away from the explosion so keep your distance.

The Bazelgeuse's tail also ignites bomb pods when it slams its tail down on the ground. Cut the tail to lessen bomb drops and attacks during the hunt.

The main purpose of having a Flash Pod in your Item Pouch is to counter Bazelgeuse's dive bomb move. When it's gliding down, use a Flash Pod to bring it down and make it vulnerable for attack.

Bazelgeuse - Moves & Counters

Body Tackle Uses body to tackle to the side. Dodge towards the head to avoid taking damage.
Rush Forward Drops bomb pods then slams shoulder onto ground and rushes forward. Move away from target direction to avoid this attack.
Ground Body Slam Drops bomb pods then slams onto the ground to explode them. Roll far away to avoid the explosions.
Tail Slam Slams tail on ground & explodes bombs. Roll to the side to keep safe.
Fire Breath Spews fire that ignites bomb pods & inflicts fire damage. Dodge sideways to keep from getting hit.
Dive Bomb Flies up and drops bombs from the sky. Dive bombs towards a random hunter. Use invincible dodge or keep distance to avoid this move.

When the Bazelgeuse flies up and starts moving from the area's end to end, it's going to do a dive bomb attack. This deals very powerful physical and fire damage when it hits a hunter so it's best to use a Flash Pod or dodge out of the way.

The Bazelgeuse becomes more dangerous and explosive when it is enraged and glowing red. It will constantly drop bombs and they explode immediately after they hit the ground. Wait until the Bazelgeuse is calm or use ranged weapons.
