How To Deal With Enemy Guard
Attack From Behind
When an enemy is in guard mode, they can only block attacks from the front. This means that you can ignore their guard by attacking them from behind. If you have party members, you can use them to distract the enemy while you attack from behind.
Break Guard Using Abilities
| Ability | How To Perform |
| Charged Magic | Press and hold △ button to charge → release and activate |
| Burning Blade | Press and hold □ button to charge → release and activate |
Some abilities can break an enemy's guard stance. However, note that you must learn the abilities beforehand. In addition, Eikon's abilities are also useful for breaking guard stance.
Charged Magic
Charged Magic is an ability that allows you to attack enemies from a distance. Its damage output may not be powerful but you can make follow up attacks once the enemy's guard stance have been broken.
Burning Blade
Burning Blade is an ability that allows you to attack enemies in a slightly wider range than normal attacks when you are in close range. Since it can be activated with the □ button, you can easily hold it down to charge it up and release when the enemy is in a guard stance.
What Is Guard?
Negates Frontal Attacks
When the enemy is in guard stance, all frontal attacks are negated. This is a special action and there are a lot of enemies that do not guard.
