Karl Heron - Rating & Skills

Transcendence 6 is Ideal for PvP

At T2, his Shock application rate increases. At T6, he gains a powerful effect that grants All Damage Nullification, Debuff Removal, and a Physical Damage Boost to Attack-type allies upon his revival. Karl Heron is an excellent supporter and Shock attacker for physical attack teams, and is especially effective in PvP. He is definitely one of the characters you should include in your physical attack team.

Karl Heron's Impact on the Meta

Strengthens Physical Teams

In addition to his excellent support capabilities, he excels as a Shock attacker capable of weakening and attacking the enemy with the highest Attack using his Mark: Lightning effects. He is highly recommended as a substitute for support roles previously held by Heroes like Kagura.

Enables Counters Against Tank Teams

As the first Attack-type Hero to possess an Incoming Healing Reduction effect, he allows for healing counters that were previously difficult to include in Attack-type 5-Hero formations required by Randgrid. This makes him a valuable asset against Tank and Sustain Teams.

TipsTips! The Incoming Healing Reduction value when his skills are enhanced becomes higher than those of Ace or Reginleif.

Strong in Guild War

His ability to reduce the Crit Rate and Weakness Hit Chance of the enemy with the highest Attack is particularly effective in Guild War, where you can tailor your attack based on the enemy team in a 3v3 format.

In defense formations, it may become necessary to implement countermeasures, such as raising the Attack of other Heroes to ensure your main attacker is not targeted.

Guild War Guide

Suitable for Early Stages of Advent Expedition

He is well-suited for Advent Expedition stages where physical attacks are effective, acting as a buffer/debuffer with Crit Damage Boost, Physical Damage Boost, and Physical Vulnerability. Since the Physical Damage Boost lasts for only 3 turns, he is recommended for the early phase of the battle in combination with the pet Jeo.

Karl Heron Team Setup and Alternatives

Primarily Used in Physical Teams

As a Hero with an Attack-type 3-Hero formation effect and high support synergy for Attack-types, it is best to pair him with other Attack-type Heroes. He is also useful as one of the Heroes to satisfy the 5-Hero requirement for Randgrid.

Substitute Hero: Kagura

Kagura

A primary substitute is Kagura, who serves as a supporter for Physical Teams. They share many similarities, such as Crit Damage Boost, Debuff Removal upon Indomitable activation, and Physical Vulnerability application, making them interchangeable candidates.
