What is Miss?

A Phenomenon where an Attack Fails

3 Effects of a Miss
1.Debuffs are nullified
2.Crit will not occur
3.Damage dealt is reduced by 20%

Miss (fumble), as the English transitive verb implies, means to fail. When an attack misses, three disadvantageous effects occur: "Debuffs nullified," "No Crit occurrence," and "20% reduction in damage dealt".

When a Miss Occurs, the Text Turns Gray

Damage text for Miss

When a Miss occurs during an attack, the damage is displayed in gray. There are no special icons or effects.

Occurs based on the Attacker's Miss Chance

A Miss basically occurs according to the attacking Hero's Miss Chance. Currently, the base stat for Miss Chance is 0% for all heroes, and the Miss Chance only increases through some form of interference.

As an exception, if the target is in a Camouflage state, the attack will Miss regardless of the attacker's Miss Chance.

Does not Occur during a Weakness Hit

A Miss does not occur when a Weakness Hit is triggered. In other words, by increasing your Weakness Hit Chance, you can land attacks with debuff effects even when afflicted with Confusion or Increased Miss Chance.

TipsTips! However, you cannot prevent effects that cause a Miss regardless of Miss Chance, like the Camouflage from Colt or Ballista.

How to Increase Miss Chance

Inflict Confusion

Confusion

Confusion is a type of debuff that occurs during battle, and heroes afflicted with it have their Miss Chance increased by 100% for a specified number of attacks.

Currently, Rin's "Dragon's Wrath" is the only skill that inflicts it. It is characterized by its extremely high probability of being applied to 4 Enemies with a 100% chance.

- High damage output with Crit Rate UP proportional to Attack Power

- The Cooldown Reset unlocked at 6 Transcendence is also strong

Inflict Blind

Blind is a type of debuff that occurs during battle, and while it's active, the afflicted Hero's Basic Attacks, Counterattacks, and Follow-Up Attacks will have a 100% Miss chance. Unlike Confusion, note that skills will not Miss.

Countermeasures for Miss

Increase Weakness Hit Chance

When a Weakness Hit occurs, you can avoid a Miss and inflict status effects and also attack while ignoring the damage reduction and Crit nullification effects.

Increasing your Weakness Hit Chance also leads to higher damage output, making it an effective countermeasure as it allows you to defeat heroes with debuffs more quickly.

Weakness Hit Guide

Heroes with a Weakness Hit Chance Boost effect

NameDetail
BiscuitBiscuit- Notable for increasing damage dealt to bosses by high Attack Power allies and boosting Weakness Hit Chance.
- All Enemies Defense Reduction and the Damage Resistance passive against attacks against 5 enemies are also great effects
- Strong offensively with Ignore Defense attack that hits 3 enemies.
- It is also possible to achieve damage reduction during Basic Attacks through Skill Enhancement.
- Durability against attacks other than 5 enemies is somewhat concerning.
RachelRachel- A versatile debuffer
- Can also deal damage with Burn
- Can be active for a long time with Revive
RuriRuri- A tenacious Magic attacker who Heals upon skill activation
- To take advantage of the additional damage effect, equipment that boosts Weakness Hit Chance is recommended
- Shows her true potential when she gains Weakness Hit Chance Boost at 2nd Transcendence
- Becomes more powerful with Ignore Defense at 6th Transcendence
AsuraAsura- A special Hero who targets low HP enemies, lowers their Defense, and makes them a Focus Target
- Tough due to creating a Barrier for allies and for Self upon skill activation
- Not suitable for rerolling with only one single-target attack skill
CattyCatty- Inflicting Unable to Recover is useful in the Water Particle Dungeon, etc.
- Boosts damage output with Physical Vulnerability and ally Crit Rate Boost
- Somewhat lacking as the debuff only targets a Single Enemy
- If you need someone who can inflict Unable to Recover, Chloe is more versatile
TotoToto- Max ★4, so he's mainly used as a Material.
- Can inflict Bleed.
BeskinBeskin- Max ★4, so she's mainly used as a Material.
- Can remove one buff.

Increase Speed to Take the First Turn

The ideal countermeasure for Confusion or Blind is to inflict status effects on the debuff-wielding hero to restrict their actions. In PvP, your opponent will also be increasing their Speed, so boost your stats with equipment Substats and other means to act as early as possible.

Debuff Removal

Debuff Removal

When Debuff Removal is activated, it removes a specified number of debuffs from the target hero. Be aware that you can only remove debuffs with a black icon background; debuffs with a red background cannot be removed.

Using a Durable Team Composition is also Effective

Status effects like Confusion and Blind have short durations, so surviving with a durable team composition is also effective. Rudy, who can remove debuffs and has excellent durability, is recommended as a counter hero.

Make the Enemy's Attack Miss

Status effects are not inflicted by an attack that Misses. Therefore, by making the enemy's attack Miss, you can help your party avoid receiving debuffs.

Examples of How to Cause a Miss

1Inflict Confusion with Characters like Rin
2Apply Increased Miss Chance with Elysia and Chancellor
3Use Camouflage from Colt and Ballista

Increase Effect Resistance

Effect Resistance

Increasing your Effect Resistance allows you to have a chance to resist debuff effects from enemies. It's not guaranteed, but it is a versatile countermeasure as it is effective against all other debuffs.

TipsTips! Because the infliction rate is too high, it is not very realistic as a pinpoint countermeasure for Confusion.

How to Use Increased Miss Chance

Use as a Countermeasure against Status Effects

Increased Miss Chance is not very reliable as a disruption skill because attacks may not Miss due to probability or Weakness Hits.

However, because it has a high infliction probability and can simultaneously deal with various status effects, it is recommended for use in stages where countermeasures against multiple debuffs are necessary, such as the Arena or the Infinite Tower.

Debuff Types & Content Effect Guide

Consider it a Bonus to the Main Effect

As a representative Increased Miss Chance skill, Elysia's Skill 2 can be mentioned. However, this effect is often used to trigger Reduced Buff Duration or the passive (Debuff Removal) rather than for the purpose of increasing Miss Chance.

Confusion is Excellent as an Opening Move

Rin Skill

Rin's Skill 2 is a powerful skill that inflicts Confusion on 4 enemies with a 100% probability, which causes a 100% Miss chance unless a Weakness Hit occurs. Among the Increased Miss Chance skills, Dragon's Wrath is an exception that is suitable as an opening move.
