How To Learn Super Attacks

Requirements To Learn Super Attacks

  • Progress The Main Story
  • Be At The Required Level
  • D Medals
  • Collect Z Orbs
  • Complete Training Battles

Requires Story Progression

Some Super Attacks require story progression

Even if you have a lot of Z Orbs and D Medals, you cannot unlock Super Attacks unless you progress the Main Story to unlock the required training battles.

Some Super Attacks Are Unlocked Automatically

Some story-related Super Attacks are unlocked automatically as you progress the main story. You still have to slot them in the Super Attack palette for you to be able to use them.

Be At The Required Level

Some Super Attacks Require A Certain Level

Some Super Attacks require the player to at least be at a certain level before they can be learned. Do battles often and complete Sub Stories to get more EXP so you can level up fast!

Have The Required D Medals

D medal farming -  Explore the Field & New Areas

D Medals are required in order for you to unlock Super Attacks. You can find them as you roam around the open world or by completing side missions.

Collect Z Orbs

Collect Orbs In The Field

Aside from D Medals, learning Super Attacks also require Z Orbs. They vary in color and are acquired by roaming around or by winning battles.

Complete Training Battles

Training Grounds

Use any Training Grounds located in the world map to do battle and unlock Super Attacks. In the latter parts of the game, you can also do Training to unlock Masteries to increase the power of your Super Attacks!

How To Do Super Attacks

Use The Super Attack Palette

Super Attack Palette

During combat, simply open the Super Attack Palette and press the corresponding button to perform that attack.

Super Attacks Must Be Slotted

Super Attack Palette Slot

Super Attacks must be slotted into the Super Attack Palette for them to be used. Remember to slot them after learning newer and stronger attacks!

Super Attacks Require Ki

Requires Ki

Super Attacks require Ki for you to be able to use them. Charge up first and carefully manage your Ki so that you won't run out of juice during critical moments.

Time Your Ki Charges

Charging Ki leaves you open to attacks. Know when to charge Ki by observing your opponent's moves.

Super Attacks Are Damaging Powerful Moves

Super Attacks are very damaging moves that have various effects, and are effective depending on the situation. As they can change the flow of battle, carefully gauge the positioning, your opponents moves and counter attacks, and use the appropriate Super Attack to win!
