How To Beat Piccolo - Tips & Strategy

Guard During Rapid Fire Ki Wave

Rapid Fire Ki Wave

Piccolo's Rapid Fire Ki Wave could be very dangerous if you let too many projectiles hit you. In this case, try not to move around too much and just guard.

Fly Around Demon Slash

Slash

Demon Slash can come at different angles, so pay attention to its orientation. Be ready to fly up, down, or to the side to dodge it.

Watch Out For Demon Flash Strike

After using a Rapid Fire Ki Wave, Piccolo will sometimes immediately charge a Demon Flash Strike. If you're standing still after guarding, you may get hit, so immediately dodge to the left or right after the barrage ends!

Gets Tired After Surge

Gets Tired After Surge

A great opening for attack is after Piccolo depletes his Surge energy as he'll be tired after, allowing you to place some good combos on him.

Demon Slash

Demon Slash

Piccolo's first ability Demon Slash is a large horizontal (or sometimes vertical!) wave of damage. He will charge up slightly before using this move, so make sure to dodge it by flying up or the side.

Demon Flash Strike

Demon Flash Strike

Demon Flash Strike is a forward charge move which will be telegraphed by a red beam with arrows on it. You should have enough time to react to this by dodging to the side.

Rapid Fire Ki Wave

Rapid Fire Ki Wave

Piccolo's most deadly attack, Rapid Fire Ki Wave, causes a large amount of explosive projectiles to fly out from him and hurl towards you. These can be very difficult to dodge, so we recommend blocking.
