Equip Sword Kits To Change Appearance
You can customize the appearance of your katana by changing your Katana Kit. The Katana Kit will change the overall design of the katana and the sheath, but it will be purely cosmetic. New Katana Kits can be acquired by completing certain Mythic Tale quests or finding Pillars of Honor.

Katana Upgrade Increases Damage
Upgrading your Katana allows you to increase the amount of damage it deals to an enemy. The higher the level, less slashes it takes to take one enemy down.

Tanto Upgrade Increases Speed & Stealth
By upgrading the Sakai Tanto, you will be able to increase the speed it takes to assassinate the target and the amount of sound they make when killed by a stealth takedown.
What Is The Katana Sword?
Jin's Main Weapon
The Sakai Storm is a family heirloom passed down in Jin's family for generations. It's Jin Sakai's main weapon throughout the game, and is an important tool to have in your fight against the Mongol empire!
Your Only Melee Weapon In The Game
The Sakai Storm is Jin's lone melee weapon in the game. Due to this, you will need to master the different intricacies of combat in the game! These include the timing and precision of your strikes!
Perform Different Stances
Different stances allow Jin to effectively deal with a variety of enemies. An example of this is the water stance, a flexible one-handed stance that can be used to get through a shielded enemy's defense.

The developers put a heavy emphasis on the deadliness of the Katana as a weapon. The Sakai Storm will be able to deal fatal damage at any difficulty to emphasize the power of the weapon.
