Ghost Of Tsushima is set during the 1st Mongolian Invasion of Japan. Though not strictly based in history, Ghost of Tsushima aims to give players a unique experience of exploring Feudal Japan.

It has been confirmed by the developers that horses do not and cannot die in the game. Horses may get scared off if threatened but they cannot be killed.
