Ghost Of Tsushima is set during the 1st Mongolian Invasion of Japan. Though not strictly based in history, Ghost of Tsushima aims to give players a unique experience of exploring Feudal Japan.

It's also been confirmed that the game will have a day and night cycle. This is important to note as some characters, quests, and in-game activities are affected by time. The weather will change during these day transitions.
