Death Team Party Features

A Team Focused on Attacking With Death

As the name suggests, a Death team is built entirely around heroes with Death effects. Once a target has been inflicted with Death twice, it is instantly incapacitated, letting you bypass its durability and healing to take it down, which is the team's biggest strength.

Capable of Beating Any Team

Compared to Physical, Magic, and Tank and Sustain teams, Death teams rely more on luck and lack consistency, but a lucky run can beat any team. That said, debuff-countering heroes like Elysia have become common recently, putting Death teams at a disadvantage.

Death-Focused Team

KnoxKnoxRosieRosieJuriJuriKrisKrisMistMist

This is a Death team example that uses Juri to apply Souldeath before finishing enemies off, blocking their Revive. Kris and Mist both benefit from boosting their Attack, so putting them in the back row is best, but going Defense-focused with only Mist in the back row also works.

TipsTips!None of these heroes overlap with must-have picks from other teams, making this comp an excellent pick for Total War.

This is a mixed Tank and Death team example featuring Radgrid and Pallanus. With only 3 Death heroes, you get fewer chances to inflict Death, but survivability increases, letting you keep applying Death over a longer fight.

Must-Have Heroes for Death Teams

HeroFeatures
MistMistDuring Fear, she can inflict unremovable Death, making her a powerful Death hero. Her Buff Duration Reduction lets her strip away Crowd Control or Death Immunity before applying it.
KrisKrisBoth of his skills inflict Death, making him a Death-focused attacker. His All-Target Healing when an enemy is incapacitated also helps boost the whole team's survivability.
RosieRosieA Death hero who can Revive 2 allies or the whole team. Her passive Effect Probability Boost also raises her Death success rate.

Other Notable Hero Options

Best Pets for Death Teams

Merparrow Is the Default Best Pick

Merparrow

A high Death application rate directly affects your win rate, so Merparrow, who boosts Effect Probability and Effect Hit Rate, is generally the best pick. Make sure to shore up your durability with equipment.

Kree Is an Option If You Don't Have Merparrow

Kree

Kree boosts Effect Hit Rate and All Attack, making her an option if you don't have Merparrow. The Attack boost is a benefit since it makes Mist's Death effect easier to trigger, and raises Kris's Barrier durability and healing amount.

Ruu Is Useful If You're Running Radgrid

Ruu

Ruu can significantly boost Defense, making her a best pick when you're running Radgrid. She also boosts healing and Barrier durability, making it easier to withstand both physical and magic attackers.

Karam If You Prioritize Block Rate

Karam

Karam can grant Block Rate Boost and apply Damage Resistance, making him a best pick when running heroes like Aris, where a high Block Rate is important. He's also an option when your equipment alone isn't providing enough Block Rate.

Pike for Debuff Countermeasures

Pike

Pike boosts Defense and Effect Resistance, making him a best pick especially when you want debuff countermeasures. He's an option when you need to counter things like Skuld's Cooldown Increase or effects that reflect Death back at you.

Jeb for a Healing-Focused Comp

Jeb

Jeb can grant Incoming Healing Boost and apply Damage Resistance, making him useful when you want to increase healing from heroes like Clemyth or Radgrid. That said, in the current meta, surviving enemy attacks is more important, so Karam and Ruu take priority over him.
