High-Durability Team That Outlasts With Healing

Tank and Sustain Teams are made up of Universal, Defense, and Support-type Heroes. Their strength lies in high durability, fighting by healing through damage and outlasting the enemy, which is the core concept of the team.

Strong Against Physical Teams, Weak Against Magic Teams

Tank and Sustain Teams tend to have the advantage against Physical Teams that rely on raw damage, since they're hard to take down, but they're at a disadvantage against Magic Teams that ignore durability and attack with Special Attacks. However, with the recent introduction of effects like Dedicated Equipment's Resilience and Rejuvenate, they've started to become an even match for Magic Teams as well.

Status Ailment Teams Are a Variant

Status Ailment Teams are a variant of Tank and Sustain Teams. These teams fight by stopping enemy movement with effects like Petrify or Extreme Chill, but recently more debuff countermeasure Heroes such as Elysia have appeared, making it harder to win purely by specializing in status ailments.

Karam can grant Block Rate Boost and Damage Resistance, making it the Best pet for Teams built around Heroes like Aris that rely on high Block Rate. Pairing it with Rudy also stacks the Damage Resistance effect, making it even more useful.

Ruu Pairs Especially Well With Radgrid

Ruu can significantly boost Defense, making it the Best choice when you want to further reinforce Radgrid's Heal and Barrier durability. It becomes easier to withstand both Physical and Magic opponents.

Pike for Debuff Countermeasures

Pike can raise Defense and Effect Resistance, making it the Best option when you specifically want debuff countermeasures. It's a good choice when your Team has few Debuff Removal Heroes, or when you want to counter status ailments like Skuld's Cooldown Increase or Death.

Jeb for a Healing-Focused Approach
