Timing When NPC Questlines Locked Out

Bloody Finger Hunter Yura	When the Mountaintops of the Giants is reached, Yura will die and the Questline cannot progress.
Gatekeeper Gostoc	Nepheli Loux's death makes it impossible to progress in this Questline
Nepheli Loux	When the story proceeds to the arrival of Farum Azula, she will die and the Questline progress becomes inaccessible.
Kenneth Haight	Nepheli Loux's death makes it impossible to progress in this Questline
D, Hunter Of The Dead	D will die when the story proceeds to the arrival of Farum Azula. It's not a dead end, but some questlines are skipped.

Does NPCs Attack You

Attacks Back When Hit Without Killing Them

If you attack an NPC, they will become hostile, and you will not be able to talk to them after that, making them see you as an enemy, . However, if you are in a hostile state, you can revert it by asking for "forgiveness" in Church of Vows, so you can talk to them even if you accidentally attack the NPC.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Attacking An NPC

Non-Magical Merchants May Be Defeated

A merchant NPC who sells ordinary tools and equipment drops "bell bearings". Hand the bell bearing to the Twin Old Woman on the Roundtable Hold for them to be able to sell the items sold by the defeated merchant.
