Obtain Seedbed Curse By Progressing His Questline

The Seedbed Curse, which is required for Dung Eater's questline, can be obtained by progressing through his questline. It's worth noting that if you kill him, you won't be able to get the Seedbed Curse.

Killing Him Is Fine If You Only Want The Equipment

Instead of completing his questline, you can get the same equipment by simply killing Blackguard Big Boggart. The items that you can buy from him can be redeemed using his Bell Bearing, allowing you to purchase them again and again.

1. Speak With NPC Rya

Talk to the NPC, Rya in Liurnia. She will ask you to return a necklace that was stolen by Blackguard Big Boggart.

Finish Her Dialogue Before Heading To Volcano Manor

If you head to Volcano Manor without speaking to Rya, you will skip Blackguard Big Boggart's questline and proceed to Rya's Questline. Her questline will progress, but Blackguard Big Boggart's questline will not, so make sure to talk to her first.

2. Talk To Blackguard Big Boggart

Blackguard Big Boggart is located in Boilprawn Shack, northwest of Rya's location. Speak with him and purchase the necklace for 1000 runes.

3. Buy Boiled Prawn From Blackguard Big Boggart


Purchase Boiled Prawn from Blackguard Big Boggart. By purchasing Boiled Prawn, he will move to the pond near the outer wall of the Royal Capital.

4. Speak With Dung Eater To Obtain The Sewer-Gaol Key


Speak with Dung Eater at Roundtable Hold once more after obtaining the Seedbed Curse. He'll hand you the Sewer-Gaol Key and ask you to find his body in the Royal Capital's sewers.

5. Go To The Forsaken Depths In The Sewers Of The Royal Capital


Head right from the platform at the Avenue Balcony Site of Grace in Leyndell, Royal Capital, and enter the well while avoiding the enemies. Please refer to the videos for instructions because the route to the well is quite difficult to follow.

6. Talk To Dung Eater's Body And Select "Leave Your Gaol"


Use the Sewer-Gaol Key to enter the prison and talk to the Dung Eater. Tell him to leave the gaol. Afterwards, rest at a site of grace. You will see that the Dung Eater has disappeared so proceed to the next step.

Dispose Of Small Fry Enemies In Advance



There will be several small fry enemies (spider hands) that should be dealt with before talking to the Dung Eater. If the Dung Eater gets killed by the enemies' attack, you won't be able to proceed with the quest.

7. Go To Roundtable Hold And Read The Message Left By The Dung Eater


Once you hear the "May the curse never end" line from the Dung Eater's body in the sewers, head back to the Roundtable Hold and go to the usual location of the Dung Eater. When you arrive at Roundtable Hold, you'll notice a message that says "I will defile you next. Meet me in the outer moat."

8. Go To The Pond Near The Outer Wall Of The Royal Capital

Talk to the tied-up Blackguard Big Boggart at the pond northwest of the Capital Rampart Site of Grace. You can obtain his equipment as well as a Seedbed Curse after speaking with him. Take note that the Dung Eater will invade you after you talk to Blackguard Big Boggart.
