Hollow Exploration in Random Map Format
Hollow Zero is a challenge where you explore randomly generated maps. Although there are some unique rules, the basics are the same as Hollow Exploration.
Unlocked in Main Story Chapter 1
Hollow Zero is unlocked by progressing through Main Story Chapter 1. You will need to drive to Scott Outpost when you unlock it, but once it is unlocked you will be able to warp there from your Compendium.
Pressure & Corruption GuideHow to Progress Quickly
Hollow Zero Strategy Flow
- Unlock the Old Capital Metro Stage First
- Check Current Bounty Commissions
- Do Old Capital Metro stages or higher levels
- Activate Buffs
- [Weekly Reset] Collect Investigation Points to the maximum limit
- Repeat Steps 2-5 to get License Level reward
- [Reset Every Month] Exchange for Items at Outpost Logistics
To progress efficiently through Hollow Zero, first aim to unlock the second stage, Old Eridu Train. As you advance through the story and increase your level via Combat Simulation and sub-quests, these stages will unlock automatically.
Bounty Commissions are Hollow Zero exclusive missions that reset every Monday. You can receive rewards by completing the Special Commissions on the far left up to four times, and Basic Commissions from S to B on the right once each, so be sure to understand the mission details in advance.
Basic Commissions can be changed up to twice a week by clicking the update button on the top right. However, once you achieve B rank Commissions, you will not be able to update it, so if you think it will be difficult to achieve rank S, try updating first.
When playing Hollow Zero, it is recommended to run Old Capital Metro or higher level stages to get Withered Crystals. Withered Crystals are required to activate Hollow Zero's exclusive Buff, Combat Configuration.
Once you have Withered Crystals, you can strengthen your squad from Combat Configuration in the bottom right corner. There are no restrictions on obtaining Withered Crystals, so you can unlock them from the left in any order.
Investigation Points are the experience points required to increase your License Level. There is a limit to how many points you can earn each week, so ideally you'll be able to collect up to the limit by Monday's reset.
You can check your License Level from the icon on the bottom left and receive rewards for each level. You will need a large amount of Investigation Points to reach the maximum level of 60, so repeat steps 2 to 5 every week to gradually raise your level.
At the frontline base, there is an NPC who will exchange items for the Z-Merits that can be obtained by completing Bounty Commissions. The item inventory is reset every month, so be sure to exchange the items you want by the end of the month.
No Need to Challenge the Higher Difficulty Level
Hollow Zero has some challenging battles, so there is no need to do the higher difficulty levels if it's difficult. The only difference is that you get more Investigation Points and items in one round, so proceed at your own pace while strengthening your characters.
Rewards You Can Get in Hollow Zero
- Stage Clear Reward
- Bounty Commissions
- License Level
- Research Progress
- Outpost Logistics (Zero Core Shop)
1. Stage Clear Reward

Bangboo Upgrade Guide2. Bounty Commissions
Bounty Commissions are Hollow Zero's exclusive missions that reset weekly. In addition to Bangboo's Enhancement Materials, you can earn valuable items such as Polychromes and Boopon.
3. License Level
You can receive various rewards each time your License Level increases by 1. Although you can only get it once, you can get a large amount of Polychromes and Boopons.
4. Research Progress
After unlocking the Old Capital Metro stage, talk to the NPC, Ray, in the tent and you will receive progress rewards based on your progress like the Resonia Collection in Hollow Zero. This is also a reward you can only get once, but you will meet the requirements sooner or later so be sure to check back regularly.
5. Outpost Logistics (Z-Merits Shop)
The NPC, Casper, outside the tent will exchange items for the Z-Merits you have collected in Hollow Zero. Item inventory is reset on the 1st of every month, so be sure to exchange the items you want before the month changes.
