How to Boost on PC Version

Press J or Z Key to Boost for PC Version

Boosting in the Zenless Zone Zero's PC version of Snake Duel can be done by pressing the J or Z key. The snake will accelerate as long as you hold down the corresponding button.

Single Mode Tips

Collect Items and Increase Your Score

Zenless Zone Zero Snake Duel Image

Players can control the red snake to collect items that appear on the board. The game will advance automatically when you start, so use the in-game cross key to move up, down, left, and right.

Move Quickly before Collision

If the player collides with an enemy snake, wall, or obstacle, the game is over. If it is not an Obstacle, you can Dodge it before the game is over by moving the Directional Keys immediately after contact.

Accelerate with Speed Ups

While pressing Speed Up, Snake's movement speed increases. The enemy Snake will be moving toward the item, so use the Boost to collect it before the enemy does.

Try to Surround the Enemy

Enemies can be defeated by strategically surrounding them so their head hits the snake controlled by the player. Also, if the player faces the enemy in a head-to-head collision, players can win and defeat the enemy.

Multiplayer Tips

Take Items to Become Longer st The Start

Obtaining score and speedup items will make your snake longer. At the end of the match, the squad with the longer total length wins, so prioritize collecting items for the first minute or so.

Use Boost to Reduce Length

If your snake is too long, you run a risk of collisions, so press Speed Up to reduce its length. When using the Boost, the speed increases so it is recommended to use it when there are no enemy Snakes or obstacles nearby.

Pick up Enemies' Dropped Items

When an enemy dies, it will drop all its items. There is a possibility that revived enemies will come to pick them up again, so try to pick them up before they can come to retrieve them.

Be Aware of Enemy Interference in the Second Half

You can check the total length on the upper section of the screen. If your squad is losing, it is effective to move in a way that blocks the enemy’s movement to make them collide. If you are winning, you can stop taking items and instead focus on surviving.

Snake Duel Rules and Item Effects

You Compete for Scores in Single Mode

Zenless Zone Snake Duel Rule Solo Mode Image

Snake Duel is a mode in which you move your own Snake, eat items, defeat enemy snakes, and compete for high scores. Your opponent will be the CPU.

Ends When You Hit a Wall or Enemy

If the snake collides with the edge of the screen, an enemy snake or an obstacle, the game will be over. As the snake grows longer, be cautious, as the game will also end if you hit your own body.

Compete in Multiplayer Mode

Zenless Zone Zero Snake Multiplayer Mode Image

Snake Duel is a mini-game in which four matched players are divided into two squads and compete for the total length of the squad's snakes. Unlike single-player, there is no score kept.

Revive after 5 Seconds when Defeated

Even if the Snake you control gets defeated, the game will not be over. You will be revived in 5 seconds, but your snake will be short again.

Match Time is 120 Seconds

A time limit is set for the battle, and the game will end after 120 seconds.

Boost Shortens the Length of the Snake
