Special Attacks are character-specific skills that can be activated by tapping the Special Attack icon. If the icon color is grayed out, the Special Attack will be activated.

When you have enough Energy, the Special Attack icon will turn purple, and an enhanced Special Attack, the 'EX Special Attack,' will be activated.
How to Strengthen Special Attack
Accumulate Energy to a Certain Level
In order to strengthen the Special Attack and activate it as an EX Special Attack, you need to accumulate energy up to the red cursor of the Energy gauge. If you activate it before the Energy reaches the red cursor, it will become a normal Special Attack.
The Required Energy Depends on the Character
The amount of Energy you need and the amount you consume to activate EX Special Attack differs depending on the character. Pay attention to the characteristics of each Agent, such as skills that take a long time to activate but can be fired with high power, and conversely, skills that are not very powerful in one shot but can be activated repeatedly.

Hit Enemies With Skills
Energy is accumulated when a character's skills such as Basic Attack and Dodge Attack hit enemies.
Recovers Over Time When Fighting Enemies
If enemies appear on the field, the energy of all team members will gradually recover automatically over time.
Increase Energy Regen Stats
A character's Energy Regen stats can be increased with the effects of Drive Disc and W-Engine. Furthermore, it is possible to increase the amount of energy recovered using the character's core skill effect.
Pick Up Energy Recovery Items
In some missions such as Rally Commissions, you can recover energy by picking up or breaking energy recovery items in the area. So if you find one, remember to use it.
Special Attack and EX Special Attack Differences
EX Special Attack is Stronger

The normal Special Attack increases Anti-Interrupt Level in addition to the unique Skills effect. When it becomes an EX Special Attack, you can increase the damage/Daze Multiplier and obtain the Invulnerable effect. It is recommended to use the stronger EX Special Attack because it can activate more powerful effects.
Support Characters Can Activate Quick Assist
Normally, Quick Assist can be activated when a character is hit during battle, but Support type characters can also activate Quick Assist by using EX Special Attack.
