There are 5 Attributes in Zeless Zone Zero and each Agent has one of the Attributes.
No Attribute for Attacks from the Enemy
Enemy attacks do not have any Attributes assigned, so the damage you take is the same for all the characters. You don't need to worry about Attributes when taking damage.
Weakness Displayed Before Mission Starts
Recommended Attributes for each mission are shown when starting the mission. Recommended Attribute means that's the Weakness Attribute of the Boss, so utilize this information to build the best team comp.
Weakness Information can be Reviewed
Weakness and Resistance of the enemies you fought are shown in the Phaethon's Archive at the Workbench.
Workbench GuideWeakness and Enemy Types
Attribute | Common Weakness |
---|---|
Ether | Energy & Ethereal type |
Fire | Organic type |
Ice | Ethereal type |
Electric | Machine type |
Physical | Organic type |
Other than a few exceptions, most enemies of the same type have the same weakness. Remembering these can help you switch to the best character during battle to deal damage effectively.
Additional Effect When the Same Attribute is in the Team
Each character has powerful Additional Abilities when teamed up with the same faction or character of the same Attribute. Try to include characters with the same Attribute when building your team.
Best Team Comps & BuildingTry to Inflict Disorder
When multiple Attribute Anomalies are inflicted to the enemy, a powerful effect called Disorder will be inflicted. Unless you are using Anomaly buffs for a certain Attribute, we recommended inflicting disorder with 2 characters of the same Attribute + 1 character of a different Attribute that's good at inflicting Anomalies.
Disorder Guide - How To ActivateAdvantages of Weakness Attribute
Increases Damage
Attacking with the Weakness Attribute will increase the damage. Normal damage is shown by the color of each Attribute but when attacking with the weakness Attribute, the damage shines in white and turns grey when attacking with the resistance attribute.
Easier to Buildup Daze
Attacking with Weakness Attribute will build more Daze. Daze build-up is different for each enemy but attacking with the weakness Attribute will build up a lot more Daze.
Able to Interrupt Enemy
The Interrupt effect for 3 Types of Attribute Anomalies; Shock, Corruption, and Burn will only activate when you use the weakness Attribute. Make sure to know the enemy weakness if you want to interrupt the enemy.
Interrupt GuideShould Your Team Have the Same Attribute?
Prioritize Activating Core Skill
When building a team comp, prioritize activating the Additional Ability. Even if you cannot attack with a weakness attribute, activating the Additional Ability is much more effective during battle.
Core Skill - How to UpgradeHaving 2 or More Characters with the Same Attribute is Powerful
Most Characters can activate their Core Skill by having 2 characters of the same attribute. Another advantage is that you can inflict Attribute Anomalies faster, so make sure to have 2 characters of the same Attribute in your team.
Best Team Comps & BuildingInflicting Disorder with Different Attributes
Instead of using the same attributes, having different attributes to inflict Disorder is also an option. You can build a team with a Anomaly Specialty character to inflict Anomalies more frequently to deal massive damage. However, it can be difficult to build a balanced team so we recommend starting with 2 kinds of attributes.
