Exploration Commissions Are the Most Recommended
Exploration Commissions are the most efficient way to collect observation data. You can obtain Exploration Observation Data or Hollow Observation Data equal to the number of golden coin icons, with a maximum of 3 per stage quest. Be sure to collect them all.
Story CommissionsBeware of Similar Icons
Be careful of similar icons when doing Exploration Commissions. The Observation Data icon is easily confused with the Gear Coin icon, so you may get confused.
Check How Many You Acquired
You can check the number of Observation Data acquired during Exploration Commissions from the top left of the screen. In the case of the example in this image, currently 2 out of 3 Observation Data have been collected, so you need to look for 1 more on the map.
Combat Commissions is Also Recommended
Observation Data can also be obtained by completing Combat Commissions and the objectives they give you. Combat Observation Data works the same here, with up to 3 being obtainable per Combat Commission.
Enhance Your Characters
To complete the objectives, you need to meet certain conditions such as "all members survive" or "complete within a certain number of minutes." It can be difficult to do this if you haven't leveled up your characters, so make sure to enhance your characters as much as possible before taking on Challenges in Combat Commissions.

Observation Data can also be obtained from Agent Stories. You can do this from the bookshelf (Video Archive), and you can get three from each episode so don't forget to collect them.
Collect from Mewmew Missions
Observation Data can also be collected by collecting Mewmew medals. You can only obtain one for each medal you get, so it's not the most efficient method. However, since many of them are relatively easy, you should do as many as possible.

Required to Increase Reputation Level
Observation Data is required to increase your Reputation rank. So be sure to collect them as they are required for progressing through the Main Story and unlocking new content.

There are two types of Observation Data: Exploration Observation Data that can be obtained from Exploration Commissions and Mewmew Missions, and Combat Observation Data that can be obtained from Combat Commissions. Although they have different names, they are basically the same thing.
Collect Them for More Rewards
Collecting Observation Data increases the amount of rewards you receive for completing the Commissions. Since there are no benefits to completing them without collecting Observation Data, make sure to gather all the data while completing the Commissions.
