Combat Simulation is the Fastest Method

Bounty Specialization

Zenless Zone Zero Combat Simulation Image

The fastest way to earn Dennys in Zenless Zone Zero is the Bounty Specialization in Combat Simulation. You may not be able to repeat it many times as it consumes Battery Charge (Stamina), but for every 20 Battery Charge consumed, you can get 22,500 Dennys.

Higher Challenge Level offers Better Rewards

As the challenges level increases you will get more rewards, so if you're going to do runs, choose the highest level you can manage.

Farm Denny without using Battery in Hollow Zero

Repeat Unlimited Times

Hollow Zero Denny Rewards

Although the amount is small, Hollow Zero is another way to earn Dennys. It takes some time to finish a run in Hollow Zero, but you can repeat it as many times as you like, so it will help to do so whenever you can. You can also obtain 50,000 Denny as License Level rewards.

Best Way to Farm Denny in Hollow Zero

  • Construction Ruins: Interior
  • Complete Floor 1, 2 as S Rank, collect Z-Merits at Resting Point to gather total of 150
  • Once you get 150 Z-Merits, stop and return to Outpost
  • Speak to Casper at Scott Outpost, exchange Z-Merits to Denny
  • Repeat 1-4 Steps until you get 900 Z-Merits (You can get up to 900 Z-Merits in 1 week)

If you get used to this process, you can complete 1 run in about 5 minutes. Even though you don't need Batteries, 1 round will give you about 37,500 to 75,000 Dennys.

But the maximum amount of Z-Merits you can get per week is 900 points, so this is not an indefinite way for farming Dennys. Also the Z-Merits you can get as a reward from Bounty Commissions is not counted towards the 900 point limit.

1. Construction Ruins: Interior

Construction Ruins Interior

The recommended level for Construction Ruins: Interior is not very high, and the stage has lots of Gear Coins so you can complete it quickly. Also there are 3 floors so you can complete Floor 1 and 2 as S-Rank to gather 150 Z-Merits at the Resting Points.

You can Borrow Max Coins from Opportunist

Opportunist

In this stage you can borrow Gear Coins from the Opportunist. In this run you won't have to pay back the Coins so it is recommended to borrow the max amount from the Opportunist.

The coins you borrow from the Opportunist can be used to purchase Resonia or deposit in Bank Zero to gather points.

2. Collect total of 150 Z-Merits

Z-Merits

When you complete the floor prior as a S-Rank, you will be able to collect Z-Merits at the Resting Spot. You need to get 30 points after Floor 1 and 120 points after Floor 2 to get a total of 150 points to maximize efficiency so the requirement for this process is to get S Rank on both floors.

3. Retreat and return to Outpost

Retreat

After gathering 150 Z-Merits points, open the Menu and Retreat. Even if you don't complete the stage, you can bring back all the Z-Merits, Denny, and Withered Crystal that you have collected.

4. Exchange Z-Merits to Denny

Outpost Logistics

Speak to Casper at Scott Outpost and exchange Z-Merits to Denny. Each month you can change 20 Z-Mertis to 10,000 Dennys 30 times, and once you finish the 30 time limit, then you can exchange them for 5,000 Dennys.

On every run you can collect 150 points so you will be able to farm Z-Merits worth about 37,500 to 75,000 Dennys.

Repeat 1-4 Steps about 15 times

In Hollow Zero, you can collect a maximum of 900 Z-Merits per week. Repeat Steps 1-4 about 6 times and you will reach this limit. Bounty Commission reward Z-Merits do not count towards this limit so you don't need to worry about that.

Don't Forget to Exchange for Other Items

There is always a limit to the Z-Merits you can gather, so it is not recommended to exchange all of your Z-Merits for Dennys. Until all the Exchangeable Items reset, exchange them for more valuable items like Master Tapes or Boopon and then exchange them for Dennys with any left over Z-Merits.
