Effect of Pressure and How it Builds Up
Reaching 100 Pressure Will Cause Corruption (Debuff)
Pressure in Zenless Zone Zero is a stat that increases as players explore new tiles. Reaching 100 Pressure will cause a debuff called Corruption and reset Pressure back to 0.
Pressure is Shown at the Bottom
Current Pressure Stats can be checked at the bottom of the screen.
Some Corruption Could Have Advantages
Most Corruptions give you a debuff but depending on the situation it could be advantageous. There is a Corruption that randomly gives you a positive effect or negative effect.
5th Corruption will Apply Powerful Debuff
Corruption can stack up to 5 times. The 5th debuff will be much stronger than the others, so try not to activate the 5th debuff.
How Pressure Builds Up
Step on Unexplored Tiles
Pressure increases by 10 every time the player steps on unexplored tiles in stages with high Ether activity (such as Hollow Zero). The Ether activity can be checked at the top right of the Stage Screen.
Events can also Build up Pressure
There are options in some events that can build up Pressure. Even if the event gives players advantages, consider the current number of Corruptions you already have before choosing them.
How to Reduce Pressure
Reduce Pressure at Safety Zones
Entering the Safety Zones will reduce Pressure by 30pt. The Pressure does not go below 0 so if the Pressure is below 20, explore other tiles before entering.
Select Pressure Down at Swift Supply
Swift Supply can also reduce Pressure by 30pt. Utilize this when you want to reduce the Pressure.
Pressure can be Reduced at Event
There is an option during an event to reduce Pressure. Also, Pressure can be reduced at Bank Zero by spending points.
How to Cure Corruption
Remove 1 Corruption at Purification Room
Entering the event tile "Purification Room" will enable the player to select 1 Corruption and remove it. Get rid of the most powerful debuff.
Closed Gate - Corruption
Closed Gate - Corruption can be progressed by either selecting an option to remove or add Corruption. It requires the player to add a Corruption if the player does not have any Corruptions, so make sure to have at least 1 Corruption before opening the door.
Events that Remove Corruption
There are options during some events to remove Corruptions. However, sometimes there are penalties such as HP reduction so make sure to decide depending on the situation.
