Yanagi's Strength
Anomaly Attacker Capable of Easily Triggering High-Damage Disorder
Yanagi is an Anomaly character who not only has high Shock-infliction potential but can also trigger the special Disorder, Polarity Disorder, with her EX Special Attack. The only condition for the Special Disorder is having an Attribute Anomaly, allowing you to deal significant damage from the Disorder much more easily and frequently than with other two-Anomaly setups.
Note! | Since the original Attribute Anomaly does not disappear after triggering Polarity Disorder, it can be maintained alongside the usual Disorder! |
---|---|
An Electric PT Leveraging Polarity Disorder is Powerful!
Yanagi can also trigger Polarity Disorder using the Shock she inflicts. Since you can boost damage without waiting for Shock to proc, another strength is that you can tailor an Electric-damage setup based on the stage's resistance and your available characters.
Can Maintain DMG Buff and Interrupt or Anti-Interrupt Buff
Yanagi has two stances that can be switched with her Special Attack, each providing a unique Buff. Each Buff lasts for 8 seconds after switching, allowing you to maintain powerful effects like Anti-Interrupt and Interrupt Buffs while fighting, enabling a seamless and efficient battle.
Yanagi's Weakness
Easy to Take Damage
Although Yanagi can continue attacking without flinching by using her Anti-Interrupt, the damage she receives is not reduced. While you can aim for interrupts against Electric Weaknesses and medium-sized or smaller enemies, you’ll often need a Shield or similar abilities against larger enemies.
Yanagi - Strategy and Combo
Change Stance With Special Attack to Maintain Buff
Yanagi has two stances that can be switched with a Special Attack, and the unique buff of each stance lasts for 8 seconds after switching. While participating, take advantage of the motion reduction from derivatives and fight while maintaining the buffs from both stances.
▼Main Combo ExtensionsBasic Attack 3rd Hit Follow-Up | Dodge Counter Quick Assist Defensive Assist → Assist Follow-Up Special Attack (Switch Stance) Chain Attack (Switch Stance) Ultimate |
---|---|
Celestial Harmony | Activated by long press (Duration: 15 seconds) While activated, any attack → Basic Attack will suddenly connect to the third attack. |
EX Special Attack is Used on Enemies in Attribute Anomaly
Yanagi's EX Special Attack (activated by holding down) can activate special disorder damage (Polarity Disorder) if the enemy it hits has Attribute Anomaly.
Furthermore, the Disorder damage dealt by all allies will be increased for the next 15 seconds, so use it together with Attribute Anomaly.
Note! | Polarity Disorder deals approximately 30-55% of the damage of Basic Disorder, and since the original Attribute Anomaly does not disappear after it is triggered, it can be activated multiple times. |

Yanagi Combo Chain
Most Efficient Combo
1 | Enter with Defensive Assist or Quick Assist, or switch stances after entering with a Special Attack. (Buff activated for both stances) |
---|---|
2 | After switching stance, use Basic Attack from 3rd to 5th hit. → Switch stance again with Special Attack Repeat until just before Shock is applied or Buff runs out. |
3 | If the enemy has Attribute Anomaly or is about to experience Shock, long press to use a trigger Polarity Disorder. |
[Note] - Special Attack can be activated with a short press |

Recommended W-engine
W-Engine | Recommendation |
---|---|
Timeweaver | Recommendation - Tsukishiro Yanagi Signatured W-Engine - Shock buildup rate and Disorder firepower are very high |
Fusion Compiler | Recommendation - 3 types of combined Buff related to Attribute Anomaly are powerful - 2 layers of Buff can be activated at once with EX Special Attack - Firepower after Buff is activated is very good |
Electro-Lip Gloss | Recommendation - Enemy Attribute Anomaly Medium status UP fund weapon - The Shock damage from the second hit onward is extremely high - The ease of use without worrying about conditions is also a major plus |
Rainforest Gourmet | Recommendation - ATK up based on energy consumption - The continuous increase in Anomaly Proficiency is also a great perk - Low firepower due to energy depletion is a bottleneck |
Weeping Gemini | Recommendation - Mastery increases based on the PT's Attribute Anomaly grant - The damage output at maximum activation is extremely high - Though it lacks stability, its explosive power is impressive |
[Magnetic Storm] Bravo | Recommendation - W-Engine specialized in Anomaly Proficiency UP Easily obtainable and upgradeable B tier W-Engine - Deals minimal damage but great for setting up combos |
The most recommended W-Engine for Yanagi is its signature W-Engine, Timeweaver. In addition to significantly enhancing its strength and Disorder damage, which is its key advantage, it also excels in the fact that, with the improved accumulation efficiency, it is easier to convert the [6] Drive Disc into attack power.
Attribute Anomaly Related Items Are Recommended at the Same Time
If you don't have Yanagi's Signatured W-Engine, you can equip a W-Engine that boosts Anomaly Proficiency, ATK, and PEN Ratio instead. Prioritize W-Engines with easy buff activation conditions to provide immediate firepower upon entry.

Aim for Disorder With Yanagi + Follow Up Character's Burnice Pursuit
This PT leverages Yanagi's Disorder Buff and targets Disorder with both Yanagi and Burnice's high-damage Attribute Anomaly. You can expect significant damage from the Burn caused by the next character's Burnice follow-up, Disorder from layering Basic Attacks, and Polarity Disorder triggered by Yanagi's EX Special.
Attack With Yanagi Until Heat Runs Out
When you are ready to follow up with a Shield and Burnice, aim to generate Shock and Disorder while attacking with Yanagi. It will be smoother if you check Burnice's Heat carefully and switch to Burnice just before it runs out to accumulate Heat.
Yanagi Main Carry PT
Shock Specialized Formation That Takes Advantage of Polar Disorder
This is a formation that uses Seth and Rina's powerful buffs to increase Yanagi's Shock firepower. Yanagi's Polarity Disorder allows it to deal damage even without even using other attribute characters, so it is especially useful against enemies resistant to other Attributes and Electric Weaknesses.
Re-Apply Buff then Enter Yanagi with Quick Assist
Seth and Rina can each switch between Quick Assists to the front and back, allowing them to smoothly switch to Yanagi while reapplying their Buffs. Quickly update the Buff of each to maximize Yanagi's playing time.
Note! | Rina is more powerful if she has one convex that increases her buff time. Also, Lucy, which has a long buff time, is also a possible replacement. |

Recommended Characters
Character | Recommendation/Rating |
---|---|
Burnice | Recommended Level - Additional abilities can be activated by each other with the same Specialty - You can aim to inflict Burn with a follow-up from the next character - Triggers Disorder to occur frequently with Yanagi |
Caesar | Recommended Level - Activate Caesar's Additional Ability with Defensive Assist - Support Yanagi with Shield and ATK Buffs - The follow-ups after inflicting Anti-Interrupt Buff is also good |
Rina | Recommended Level -Rina's Additional Ability is activated with the same Attribute - Strong synergy between overall Buffs and PEN Ratio - Obtaining C1 extends Buff effects |
Seth | Recommended Level - Seth's Additional Ability is activated with the same Attribute - Cover Yanagi's damage taken with Shield - His Anomaly Proficiency Buff is also very excellent |
Lucy | Recommended Level - Excellent compatibility with high-lasting ATK Buff - Minimal field time is enough - Lucy’s Additional Ability is not necessary |
Yanagi, who has a powerful Disorder Buff, is especially effective when used with other Anomaly characters that utilize high-firepower Attribute Anomalies, such as Burnice. Also, a supporter with a long-lasting Buff or one that can cover Yanagi from damage with Shield would be ideal.
Note! | Yanagi can cause a special Disorder even with just Shock, so using her as a main attacker in combination with Stun is especially recommended against enemies with Electric Weaknesses or Fire Resistance. |

Recommended Bangboo
Bangboo | Recommendation/Rating |
---|---|
Plugboo | Recommended Level - Activate Additional Ability with 2 Electric Attributes - Assists in adding Electric Attribute Anomaly Powerful but can become excessive in certain situations |
Electroboo | Recommended Level - Activate Additional Ability with 2 Electric Attributes - Assists in adding Electric Attribute Anomaly - Similar to Plugboo but of a lower rarity |
Mangetiboo | Recommended Level - Additional Ability automatically activated with 1 Anomaly - Assist in applying Shock collectively through gathering enemies - Chain Attack cannot be used |
Yanagi, when used as the main damage dealer, relies on Attribute Anomaly and is primarily utilized in combination with Attribute Anomaly-based skills and enemy-aggro Bangboos. However, since the Electric Attribute can easily accumulate sufficient charge, it would also work well with Bangboos that pair well with two allies.

Chain Attack | |
Core Skill |
For Yanagi, prioritize increasing her Core Skill and Special Attack first, as these directly boost her main Disorder firepower. While other stats are also important, especially Basic Attack, she is an attacker designed for extended battles, but since Attribute Anomaly has only a small effect on her firepower, it should be given lower priority.
Skill Effect
Basic Attack: Tsukuyomi Kagura
Yanagi has two stances: Jougen and Kagen.
Press to activate: Execute up to five forward slashes based on the current stance, causing Physical DMG and Electric DMG.
During combat, Yanagi gains the corresponding stance buff based on her current stance: Jougen stance buff: Electric DMG increases by 10%. Anti-Interrupt Level increases during Basic Attacks. Kagen stance buff: PEN Ratio increases by 10%. Interrupt Level increases for Basic Attacks. For 8s after switching stances, Yanagi retains the bonus from the previous stance.
Best Mindscape Cinema for Yanagi
Effect and Recommended Mindscape Cinema
C1 | Know Thy Self, Know Thy Enemy When any squad member inflicts an Anomaly on an enemy, Yanagi gains 1 stack of Clarity, lasting 15s, stacking up to 3 times. Repeated triggers reset the duration. Upon being hit by an enemy attack, Yanagi consumes 1 stack of Clarity to gain invulnerability for 1s. When Yanagi has 1 or more stacks of Clarity, her Anomaly Proficiency increases by 80. |
---|---|
C2 | Outstanding Adaptability During her EX Special Attack, the rapid thrust's Electric Anomaly Buildup increases by 20%. Holding down the Special Attack button after a rapid thrust hits an enemy will consume 10 additional Energy to launch another thrust. If Energy is insufficient or the button is released, the attack automatically follows up with the downward attack. When the downward attack hits an enemy suffering an Anomaly and triggers Polarity Disorder, the DMG multiplier increases to 20% of the original Disorder effect. Each additional thrust increases this multiplier by 15%, up to a maximum of 2 extra thrusts. |
C3 | Tsukishiro Style Management Basic Attack, Dodge, Assist, Special Attack, and Chain Attack Lv. +2 |

The maximum number of times the additional DMG multiplier increase effect for Polarity Disorder in Outstanding Adaptability can be triggered increases to 4, and the Energy cost for the first 4 additional thrust attacks is and the Energy cost for the first 4 additional thrust attacks is halved. |
C1 and C2 Are Highly Recommended
The recommended Cinema for Tsukishiro Yanagi is her C1, which grants Invulnerable and almost constant Anomaly Proficiency Buff, as well as her C2, which significantly increases the Attribute Anomaly accumulation efficiency and damage of EX Special Attack. Both not only boost damage but also greatly enhance Tsukishiro's performance when on the field, making them highly effective.
Prioritize Signatured W-Engine before Cinema
Yanagi's Signature W-Engine, Timeweaver, increases both Attribute Anomaly Buildup Rate and Anomaly Proficiency, in addition to increasing the damage of Disorder. Since Yanagi triggers Disorder very frequently, this is an item that should be prioritized over Cinemas for Yanagi.
