Withering Garden - Hollow Zero Guide

Tips Before Fighting Boss

  • Keep Party member's HP as high as you can
└ Try to get to the last floor without using the Med Kit
  • Prioritize removing Corruptions that affect battle
  • Choose Attribute & Shield type Resonia

Keep Party Member's HP as High as You Can

In Hollow Zero you can lose HP outside of battle, for example from Corruptions or other effects in the Hollow. If you have enough HP when you start the battle, you'll have a better chance of defeating the boss if you need to retry the battle.

Have Concentrated Medicine II to Complete with Ease

Zenless Zone Zero Concentrated Medicine II Image

Concentrated Medicine II can heal the entire team. There is a chance to obtain it from the collaborator at the supply base on each floor so make sure to get them if you can.

Prioritize Removing Corruptions that Affect Battle

Many of Nineveh's attacks include consecutive attacks and ones that are difficult to dodge. Particularly, combat-related Corruption symptoms such as ones that extend Dodge CT or increases the boss's CRIT Rate significantly raise the difficulty of battles. Therefore, prioritize getting rid of these Corruptions first.

Corruption to Remove First

Hay Fever I[Top Priority]
Nineveh's damage increases by 40% and she summons Hornets more frequently. While exploring the Hollow, you lose HP. During combat, the HP of Agents currently present decreases gradually.
Weakened[Top Priority]
Dodge's cooldown time extended
Sinister ResonanceBoss Enemy's attacks have a certain chance of a critical hit.
Demotivation The Energy of members on standby gradually decreases

Resonia Collection Recommends Attribute and Shield

StyleCharacteristcs
Freeze styleFreeze- Ice DMG enhanced
- Increase Freeze Anomaly Buildup
- Additional effects occur during Freeze
- Change according to attacker's attribute
Shield StyleShield- Shield generated according to HP and DEF
- Increased damage while shielding
- You can fight without worrying about getting hit with low HP
Dodge StyleDodge- Increased Dodge performance and damage after Dodge
- [Counterattack] Damage dealt +45% when effect is activated
- 4 seconds of Vital View is powerful
energyEnergy- Energy and Decibels acquisition increased
- Damage of each skill is enhanced
- Special Attack and Gathering Skills become easier to use.
Critical StyleCritical- CRIT Rate and Crit DMG are increased
- Increases firepower of all allies
- S-Rank High-Explosive Grenade can instantly kill Normal Enemies at 75% chance.

Withering Garden's recommended Resonia Collections are: Freeze (for Ice team), Shield - Dodge - Energy and Critical. Not only the final boss, Nineveh, but also the enemies along the way are powerful, so we especially recommend choosing Shield or Dodge, which can ensure both firepower and stability.

Nineveh Fight Walkthrough

  • Keep close to Nineveh
  • Dodge forward just before the Homing Missile Hits
  • Avoid the AoE Lasers by hiding behind a wall
  • Prioritize Dodging attacks during the Flower Form

Keep Close to Nineveh

Nineveh strategy image

In the battle with Nineveh, your base strategy will be staying close to the boss. When you are directly under Nineveh, most medium to long-range attacks do not require dodging, and there are only a few short-range attacks. By learning the boss’s movements in advance, you can significantly reduce the damage you take.

Dodge Forward Just Before the Homing Missile Hits

You can avoid Nineveh's homing missiles by dodging forward toward the boss or the missile itself. Since the homing missiles have high tracking accuracy and speed, focus on dodging just before impact rather than trying to create distance from the missles.

Avoid the AoE Lasers by Hiding Behind a Wall

When Nineveh's HP reaches around 75%, it will move to the center of the stage and use a laser attack that covers the whole area. It deals 1 damage during the activation stage, but the final explosion deals instant death damage, so quickly take shelter behind the crystal wall.

Prioritize Dodging During the Flower Form

When its HP decreases to around 25%, it transforms into a flower-like form and fires a large number of homing bullets. While in flower form, it is invulnerable and will eventually return to its original form. It is recommended to ignore the tentacles that appear simultaneously and focus on dodging until you have an opportunity to attack.

Recommended Team Comps

Recommended Team Composition Example
▼Ellen Team▼Soldier 11 Team
▼Nekomata Team

Ellen Team

Switch to Ellen After Stun in Lycaon

To maximize base stats, follow this strategy: Stun with Stun Specialty Character → Trigger Quick Assist with Support → Deal damage with Attacker. To deal damage efficiently during Stun, charge Ellen's energy first or use 'Flash Freeze Charge' beforehand.

Replacement Candidates

CharacterDetails
GraceGrace- Switch with Lycaon or Rina
- When replacing Lycaon, Shock's firepower increases significantly
- Easily inflict target with Disorder when Rina is substituted
AnbyAnby- Stun character to replace Lycan
- Additional abilities can be activated for everyone
- You can also aim for Shock & Disorder
SoukakuSoukaku- Support character to replace Rina
- Ellen's firepower increases with Ice support
- The problem is that it becomes a single attribute team

Soldier 11 Stun Firepower Team

Deal Damage During Stun

This is a combination of two Fire Characters with an additional ability that increases damage during Stun. With 2 Fires and Electric Anomaly Grace, you can also aim to increase the damage caused by Disorder.

Use Grace After Applying Burn

Koleda stuns the enemy, then Soldier 11 comes in with a Chain Attack and Grace inflicts Disorder whenever she can in between. It will be easier if you switch to Grace after applying "Burn" with Soldier 11.

Replacement Candidates

CharacterDetails
BenBen- Switch with Grace or Koleda
- Increase party durability while enhancing Koleda's performance
- The drawback is that it results in a single attribute party when replacing Grace
AntonAnton- Switch with Soldier 11
- Becomes a Shock team
LucyLucy- Switch with Koleda
- A high-duration buff pairs well with Soldier 11
- Use Piper in the same team
PiperPiper- Switch with Grace
- A high-duration buff pairs well with Soldier 11
- Use Lucy in the same team

Nekomata Assault Team

High-duration Buff to Extend Nekomata's Time in Battle

This team allows Nekomata to continuously deal damage by leveraging the high sustained buffs from Lucy and Piper, as well as Nekomata's own damage buff. The Physical Attribute Anomaly's 'Flinch' and 'Disorder' enable you to aim for high-frequency stuns.

Attack With Nekomata as Long as the Buff Lasts!

Use Lucy and Piper's buff that lasts from 12 to 15 seconds and Nekomata's own damage buff so that one of them are activated at all times. Since Nekomata is relatively weak against attacks and spends a long time in battle, it is important to use Dodge and Dodge Counters.

Replacement Candidates

CharacterDetails
Soldier 11Soldier 11- Can be switched with Nekomata who can be used in almost the same way
- With two Fire and one Physical, it's easier to aim for Disorder.
- Additional Ability can be activated
AnbyAnby- Switch with Piper
- It is recommended to swap out Lucy as well
- Many candidates for the third slot due to many Agents in the same faction/attribute
RinaRina- Replaced with Lucy when Anby is used
- Increase Nekomata's firepower with a powerful piercing buff
- Shock extension makes it easier to target Disorder
NicoleNicole- Switch with Lucy
- Gathering enemies and Chain attacks with Nekomata is powerful
